The video, which has been making the rounds online, shows a masked performer attempting a dramatic barehanded plank-breaking stunt as part of the film’s promotional event. You know the vibe: intense music, tough guy energy, crowd watching closely, everyone expecting one clean heroic strike. That is not what happened. Instead of snapping the planks in half like an action movie legend, the performer repeatedly slams his hand into the wood… and nothing happens. Again and again. The planks refuse to cooperate. The strikes get angrier. The crowd gets quieter. The tension somehow becomes secondhand embarrassment. At one point, it’s painfully clear this was supposed to be a one-and-done moment, but it turns into an extended battle between human hand and very real, very sturdy wood. Social media users were quick to point out what seemed to be the obvious issue. Someone forgot the fake planks. What was meant to hype up the film’s gritty, high impact action instead turned into an unintentional comedy sketch. Commenters joked that the planks deserved a stunt credit of their own, while others praised the performer for committing to the bit even as reality refused to bend. To be fair, action movies make this stuff look easy. Slow motion, sound effects, editing, and breakaway props do a lot of heavy lifting.
