Yah, looks like a special treatment will be needed. Worse comes to worse, I'll use it for some art work in some capacity if it comes out all abstract. I am curious to know if it is the roll with my first dog when I was learning how to use a camera. There are a few family things too... Who knows.
I hope there is a gem or two in all of these rolls. It could be nothing too.
It was in a box in the basement. There was some roll film too. I dropped that off yesterday to see what is there. Once I get that back and have a look, I'll try this one. Curious. There may be pics of me "learning" how to take a photo or some of various family members in the 80's. Curious is all.
Friends, my cousin Jim, a physician and storyteller, wrote a movie! It’s a psychological thriller. My dad is (briefly) in it!
You can rent it now! It’s called Basic Psych.

I dropped off the roll film to a local Hunt's. I like them. They do not do the disc films. I'll look into that one in Easthampton or the one you mentioned.
Oh, I did not know about that one. Took the roll film to Hunt's. I will look into them. Thank you.
photos of white protesters being attacked by police: one man who is resisting with a smile while they pull his hair and legs and a woman biting a policeman's arm. Exhibit text: The Boston Public Library holds major collections related to Boston press photography, most notably the Boston Herald-Traveler Photo Morgue. Just as contemporary press coverage of protests helps to spread the message of those demonstrating for change, these collections provide important documentation of prior activist movements and may inform continued activism today. These photos along with others (and paintings going back to colonial times) that document protest for all kinds of rights over 250 yrs are on display at the Copley Branch of BPL for exhibit called
REVOLUTION! 250 YEARS OF ART + ACTIVISM IN BOSTON
Thank you. I found them yesterday. Has anyone used them? Looks like people will no the fuji film one more often that this one because of "proprietory" blah blah.
I have been helping my mom clean up the basement/house. She ran across a box of undeveloped film. One of them is that Kodacolor disc film. I had a camera that used this in the '80's. Anyone have a favorite on-line film developing place that may develop these? Local shops don't.
I also like these groups that show you how to do basic repairs of things too. They are great to support in any way you can.
I am volunteering to help out at one of those repair collective like things this weekend. The concept is to help teach people to repair or just repair an item to prevent it from going into the landfill. They hold them twice a year.

Ooh!
New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally.
It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

'She also documented how few women were in federally sponsored clinical trials for AIDS drugs...
That was significant, she told The San Francisco Chronicle, because “the clinical trials are the only way you can get treatment.”' Long helped save so many lives.
Former Commissioner Riley selling out on vouchers, too. Figures.
Heads way up, #MAEdu
I also maybe should human more. Inside voice out loud to a co-worker at a side-hustle job who apparently blames oil prices on Europeans not supporting Trump *instead* of Trump starting this bullshit with Iran was maybe curt, rather firm, and WTF is it with boomer men and no goddamn spine/brain...
People who burn plastic in their woodstove need to be slapped. I was worried it was a house fire and drove until I found out what the smell was coming from. Had windows open in the office. I am pissed. I did not want to human today and now need to go somewhere to work.
so the dip in weather was *your* fault?
Nikyle Begay is rekindling Diné weaving techniques that have been suppressed by colonial market preferences. Begay tells us the history of twill weaving and their involvement in each aspect of their creative process, from breeding and shearing sheep to weaving long-undervalued twill patterns.

Apparently it’s
International Haiku Day.
I shall ignore it.

I admit that this was my assumption, yes.
The image shows a section of a zebrafish gut, consisting of finger-like villi that extend into the lumen. In this image, each villus has large blue cells filled with mucus (shudders involuntarily), as well as basal cells that stain intensely for the PCNA proliferation marker.
We did it!! Our first IHC in Bath!!! Cora captured this gorgeous image of Alcian blue+ goblet cells, as well as PCNA+ epithelial cells in an adult gut. We still have fine-tuning to do, but these beautiful/simple views of such a complex structure will always make me smile.
That is what I was hoping for. I'll grab a couple more next month. Small contribution, but I appreciate what you share.
