Oh thank you! This is what I need

I always default to threads because the interface feels easier for me, mainly for reading. I rarely post anywhere. But I'd rather be here.

So I'd welcome any tips to make bluesky feel like "home," please and thank you!

I'm SO glad you gave it a try (and thrilled you trusted me enough to do so)!

It was a bit intense for me, too. ❤️

2/2 of course, I'm banned because I used to create socialist vegetable farms, and they are apparently terrifying villagers into farming iron by trapping zombies in carts and zipping them around a track until villagers drop iron golems. Villager exploitation = bad. Sibling shenanigans = good

The same thing is happening in my house and I am here for it! My three teens have created some wild world together that S hosts on Jack's Raspberry Pi server and they play TOGETHER, including A who is away at college. It's been YEARS since they did that!

Congratulations! As a resident of the Harrisburg area, I love your generous way of celebrating! (Oh, and apologies for our airport. ;-))

He said yes, you, too, but his face absolutely fell. And I understood why. That's the whole story.

You are smart to avoid Meta SM. I'm trying! I find the interface here clunky but I'm going to make more of an effort.

Hi, Jeanie. I archived it pn Threads because I couldn't babysit the MAGA trolls who deliberately misunderstood my point.

Short version: I was directed to the e-gates with the statement, "EU passports are in this line." I was tired and didn't want to go in the wrong line so I confirmed "USA, too?"

Oh it's been a while. Horton's Miraculous Mechanisms and Horton's Incredible Illusions were a hit in my house when I had readers that age. Also The Invention of Hugo Cabret and The Marvels, both by Brian Selnik. And Blue Balliett has a great four-book series (Chasing Vermeer).

A reminder for me (and you, if you need it):

“In a time of destruction, create something: a poem, a parade, a community, a school, a vow, a moral principle; one peaceful moment.”

My 14 yo and I went to the library. I wrote; she studied for a test.

She said, "Libraries are fire. Anyone can walk in, no questions asked, use their wifi, get warm, and work in a quiet place!" Pause. "Can you imagine if you tried to introduce libraries today?"

I cannot believe this is the same man I campaigned for and donated to. It makes me ill.
