Waiting 3-5 min between sets is way too long. A single exercise shouldn’t take 15-20 min to do. Besides wasting time, you’re building lactic acid at an increased rate which will weaken you diminishing your overall workout. 45 sec ~ 1.5 min between sets is the sweet spot 💪🏼

Your core is your body’s foundation. A strong, solid core creates a more overall efficient workout. It helps maintain your center of gravity, posture, and improves strength. Focus on keeping it tight as you weight lift and never get lazy on your ab routine! 💪🏼

Do you really wanna build muscle? Form and pacing are very important. Slower movement combined with isometric flexing will really pump those muscles up. 5-8 reps of slow, concise movement. Make sure you maintain full ROM (range of motion) and proper form/posture. Form over weight.

Your sternum is not a spring-board so please stop bouncing the bench bar off it. Besides the potential fracturing you’re lessening the impact on the muscle group you’re actually working out (chest). Reduce the weight. Form first 💪🏼

To those starting their fitness journey - remember that it will be a slow process particularly at the beginning. The body is resistant to change especially if you’ve never been physically active, but once you’re over that initial hill and start seeing results it’ll be worth it! 💪🏼
