There is so much packed into this easy-to-use app! I especially love it for road trips. If you allow location access, you will have a precise GPS record of where you saw the birds - instead of trying to recall the details later. Just speak the species name(s) and BirdScore creates the note, complete with species, counts, date, time, location, as well as any field note you may have dictated. The iOS updated version is going to be ready soon.

The Android version of the #BirdScore update is now available in Play Store! The new feature is LISTS of individual notes - instead of only notes. It will be perfect for keeping track of all your #bird sightings for Cornellโ€™s upcoming #GlobalBigDay on May 9th! See Alt for moreโ€ฆ

For the #ComeEatWithMe #birdoftheday theme, I'm sharing this #photo of a Snowy Plover. Note the leg bands - this protected species is making a comeback with the conservation measures that have been put in place. I was in the right place at the right time that day! ๐Ÿ˜Š

That was REALLY fun! Over 1500 #bsky folks took about a nanosecond of their time to tap a โค๏ธ on my Red-shouldered Hawk #photo. It brought me immeasurable joy and reminded me there is still good in our world. I needed that. We all needed that. Thank you!

Yes, they are similar. That little bit of yellow between the eye and the bill is a helpful clue. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Today I got over 200 โค๏ธs on my Wood Duck photo. Thatโ€™s the most ever for any #photo Iโ€™ve posted online. ๐Ÿฅน Thank you for your kindness and encouraging words. #Birder are the best! Photo: Red-shouldered Hawk a few years ago in Morro Bay, CA.

That is encouraging to hear! Yes, Oregon is pretty great. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™m actually in Oregon (just occasionally visit CA), but yes WAY less. In the past 10-12 years the decrease has been devastating and heartbreaking.
