36/100 I Care A Lot: Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage go head to head in a Con Artist Vs Mafia Boss, dark, suspensey ride. This is one for the movie fans. You have to be on board with 2 amazing leads playing unlikable characters. Really rewarding watch for sure. Won a golden globe and deserves it.

35/100: California Schemin' : Real life story, gets made into a book and documentary then gets made into a movie... It's a decent watch, but I think the documentary is better purely because it pays up how unbelievable the whole story is. Such a time capsule of a pre social media time.

You've got some gaps!
Next thing you'll be saying you've not listened to other such classics as Night at the Opera, Rumours and Slippery When Wet....
I don't know you, we've never met, but I am very pleased for you!
Am I the only one who is confused by the fact that it's taken this long?
Same
I don't like thinking how much I've spent fixing the bad tattoos of my younger years
34/100 Pretty Lethal: A group of ballerina's have to escape a murderous gang. This is a horror movie concept wrapped up in an action movie package. The thing I appreciated the most was Uma Thurman's role being down played in the title card before the movie. This is an "and Uma Thurman" movie.
33/100 They Will Kill You: In the fallout of oscar season, I don't think I expected a horror, action, blaxplotation B-movie to jump way up to my movies of the year so soon. I genuinely believe someone asked if you could make a B-movie horror with the same amount of style as Kill Bill. Masterful.
32/100 The Voices: Well, this one is about as weird as it gets! I saw Ryan Reynolds and Anna Kendrick in a horror comedy. It is a black humour, unsettling horror where Reynolds has extreme mental illness and his cat takes him into murdering people. Not a recommendation for 90% of people.
I want to buy tickets to a gig in Bristol. Headfirst is cheaper, but want my phone number to create a login to access their checkout. Seetickets is more expensive plus fees but have a guest checkout...give up my data and risk being spammed or pay more? 21st century problems.
ICYMI: Fresh stock! 🔥

My pedalboard is incredibl-y giant
I don't like to complain about things like this, but I can't escape the fact that I used to go to more gigs because they felt cheaper on entry price. A friend is local support tonight, the entry plus fees is £25 at a 200 capacity venue. That just plain stings!
I've just been to the shop on lunch. There was overcast grey clouds and wind. I went in and out of the shop, came back out to sun and the wind had died down. Halfway back to work, it was raining, lightly... I'd like one weather permitting hour please.
Punk rock action in Newport last night. We have lift off! 🚀

31/100 Honey Don't! : If it's possible, I'd describe this as a movie fans comedy. It's too black and weird for a normal comedy or to hit a mainstream audience. It's a lesbian private detective investigating murders surrounding a religious cult.
I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure who I'd recommend it to.
It's tough on us pale skinned grandchildren of the Irish!
32c no cloud. I just put my water between my legs to cool me down
Young people in Disneyland complaining about being way too hot, whilst wearing spirit jerseys and jeans because they wanted to look cute are the bottom of my sympathy list.
30/100 Project Hail Mary: This is a wonderful mix of the best bits of Arrival and The Martian. Considering they are two of my favourite Sci-fi movies of the last 20 years, that's high praise. Watched it in its full IMAX glory in the Chinese Theater too. Magic stuff.
29/100 Hoppers: Pixar back on fine form. I got to watch this in the El Capitan in Hollywood, so I might be a little situation biased, repeat viewing is probably in order once I'm home. Classic Pixar moves, with the emotions, the laughs and the juxtaposition of reality and hyper real.
28/100 Beverly Hills Cop Axel F: I could be really harsh about this one. Calling it boring and sticking to formula, but that's it's main charm. They just checked back in with the characters you love from the old movies with a bonus JLG and Kevin Bacon. Life changer...no. Fun watch, yes.
27/100 Fly Me To The Moon: This is a treat of a movie. I'm biased because I really like space related things. Equally I really enjoy any movie that is carried by the charisma of a great performance. Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson (and a great supporting cast) are so likeable. Easy fun watch.
26/100 One Battle After Another: Oh me oh my, this was a slog. 2h40 and genuinely could have been 30 minutes shorter and achieved the same point. The first 40 minutes was borderline unnecessary. I feel like there is always an oscar winner style movie that I just won't enjoy. This is another one.
25/100 Play Date: This is a classic one watch action comedy. It showed up on my radar because I was looking for movies Sarah Chalke has been in recently. She is barely in this. I feel like Alan Ritchson needs to do more action movies.

24/100 Aftermath: Someone asked the question does Arnie have then acting chops to pull off a movie about losing his wife and kid in a plane accident...in serious mode, not ridiculous explosion revenge. He does. But I want the explosion based revenge version of this story.
