Did a multiplayer 3 person all the silent run on slay the spire 2 last night. It was an absolute blast! I love that it's all real time and you can just spam stuff or slow down and strategize with each other.

I'm starting a new job finally, I'm getting back into custom framing. It'll be nice to just have some kind of regular work going rather than sitting at home stressed and broke all the time. I'm just gonna make art for myself and my wife.
This was a nice surprise! An online reseller used the extra thick Dr. Madison Li commander card as a way to protect the cards I ordered from getting bent. I'll have to consider making an energy deck at some point now.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
There are two things I want for myself this year to make as much art as I possibly can and actually post it, and to find community with other creators and actually reach out to chat with them rather than saying hello once and then burying myself away.
I've waffled repeatedly on just giving up art to find regular employment but honestly I don't think I could ever be happy doing anything else with my life. I'd rather struggle working a part time job and making scribbles, 3D models, and paintings than anything else.
It's been really nice getting back into regularly making art again. Even on the days where I only get a crappy sketch out I've been happier just with the fact that I made SOMETHING.
I'm working on trying to do some designs for a character I want to make as a portfolio piece and it's like his face is locked behind a glass door. I know what it looks like in my head but it's a struggle to transfer it to paper right now.
I really enjoyed working on this painting as a study. Working on accessories that had multiple materials like gold and silk provided a nice challenge. Definitely feel like I came out with some more knowledge after this piece.
