Afghanistan is not a failed state; it’s a betrayed one.

When I think of Syria, I see this little boy- his little body on the shore, a reminder of war’s innocent victims. Iranian and Pakistani proxy regimes are behind so much of this devastation. How much longer must children pay the price for their regional games?

Men who exploit Afghan women’s rights for political gain, while believing in the same values as the Taliban in their private lives… you’re worse than the Taliban. Stop the bandwagon politics.

A warning for all.

“Show me a hero, and I’ll write you a tragedy.”

Show me an Afghan, and I’ll show you a people who’ve buried their heroes in unmarked graves, whose bravery is met with silence, and whose tragedies the world pretends not to see.

Afghanistan stands with you sister. Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke didn’t just tear a bill—she tore through 184 years of colonial arrogance. As a fellow parliamentarian, I feel her rage. The British drew the Durand Line to shackle my people, too. But like her, I’ll fight until those chains are broken.

Worry about your character not your reputation. Character is who you are. Reputation is who people think you are. Focus on the truth of your actions, not the opinions of strangers. Let your integrity speak louder than their assumptions.

A united Afghanistan is non-negotiable. I will never support any narrative that feeds our enemies’ divide-and-conquer agenda. They fear our strength in unity—let’s never give them what they want.
