While the ceasefire proposal isn’t ideal (still need to work out security assurance for Ukraine,) it’s a step in the right direction. The ball is in Russias court. It’s not over but it’s a step
here's today's post: "secret Canadian fentanyl labs, and other fucked-up Republican fairy tales" — and Donny’s going to make us all rich!

Don’t worry though, we’re going to patch things up with the rest of the world next week when we slap massive tariffs on them because Trump said America was much richer in 1880 when we had high tariffs. Everyone will want do business w/us, buy our stuff, & come here on vacation!

The ‘American First’ crowd is awfully quiet about Trump’s pledge to build free housing for 2 million Palestinians in some random country they don’t want to go to that also doesn’t want them. I’m sure this will all work out fine and that’s what people thought they were voting for.
I'm so old, I remember when Republicans used to pretend to give a shit about the Constitution
Speaker Johnson's caught in an impossible predicament: his own GOP majority is too crazy to fund the government; and the only way to gain votes from the Dem minority is for Trump and Musk to stop breaking the law. No way out!
Agree with everything, except Go Hoosiers!!
Seriously though, for all the self serving post election analysis on what Harris should or shouldn't have done, has any major media ran anything noting sociopathic lying was apparently the winning strategy?
There will be buyer's remorse on tariffs also.
Interesting that Trump is now trying to sell his terrible tariff idea on a new basis - to control immigration and drugs. Originally he said it was to replace the income tax and would be paid for by the other countries. And people believed him.
Tariffs on US imports speckle the whole US economy with higher costs, lower efficiency, reduced output. And then of course the trading partners retaliate, which aggravates the waste and folly.
It's disheartening that in an age where knowledge has never been more accessible - the United States is about to be governed by an administration so primitive and ignorant as to believe that tariffs are good and that vaccines are bad.
I really never realized the solution to all our problems was a trade war with Canada.
They'll find a way to blame it on Democrats and the idiots will believe it.
