For what it’s worth, I really enjoyed A Decade in Tory. Appreciate that doesn’t put bread on the table though 😞
Dirk Gently is a great read too. Enjoy! ☺️
I don’t know, sorry!

I'm just *three* sales away from reaching 40 KDP sales of my newest novella!
So, you know, if anyone is in the mood for a quick, short read, today is a great day to help me reach this milestone! 🥰💞
Time to put petrol in the car. Just need to decide whether to sell my left kidney or my right kidney 😞
Great news, fellow Irish people! The sun might just pop out again on Tuesday week 🙄
Strange bright light in the sky today, not sure what it is. Maybe it’s that thing I’ve heard they have in other countries… the sun? 🤷♂️ #ireland
It’s a bit damp in Dublin at the moment ☔️
Palantir employees…
“Leonard Cohen by Candlelight” - a string quartet playing their little hearts out. Lovely evening 😊
Some days just go on, and on, and on.
Not since the great rice truck thread of 2020 have so many people worldwide followed a story with such absolute fascination 😂

Thought I’d treat myself to a copy of “Call of the Wild”, half price at £22.50 but the UK site only delivers to the UK. For some reason it’s £25 on the international site but ok, whatever. The only option is “express delivery” for another £25, so now I’m at £50 altogether. Too rich for my blood 😞
Is teriyaki sauce supposed to look like that? Normally it’s more… in a packet 🫣
Confident in my ability to properly tennis, I take the court. smile at my opponent. Serena does not return the gesture. She'd be prettier if she did, I think. She serves. The ball passes cleanly through my skull, killing me instantly
Obligatory
Mixed up there, their, and they’re probably. No coming back from that tbh 🤷♂️
Ha, yeah, some of mine fell apart too. Still not throwing them out though 😂
Image shows the original cover for Terry Pratchett’s Men at Arms, with artwork by Paul Kidby showing characters from the novel (Carrot, Angua, and Cheery) charging forward with weapons raised.
I rebought most of the books in that edition, they make a lovely collection on the shelf. Still have a sentimental soft spot for the old Paul Kidby covers though, I haven’t thrown them out ☺️
I have the same editions, they’re nice little books. I’ve been putting off rereading for some years too, but maybe this is the year, as you say ☺️
Bar chart showing number of books read per genre - fantasy 21, sci fi 18, horror 3, and 2 each for LGBTQIA, thriller, romance, and historical
Clear favourites in the genre breakdown. Something else to work on for next year ☺️
Most read authors, with my read-through of David Gemmel’s Drenai Saga taking top place, Stephen King’s Dark Tower in second (1st 4 books). Nice to see an indie author on there (Rebecca Crunden). Conn Iggulden suffering from having two pen names 😂
My #reading goal for 2025 was to read 35 books, and today I finished number 38. Pretty pleased with that, but it was all fiction of one sort or another, so my goal for 2026 is again 35, but to include at least 15 non-fiction books. Wish me luck ☺️
3-panel SMBC comic update - the first panel shows a father saying, emphatically, that he would do anything for his kids. The following panel shows a young child coming up to him, tablet in hand asking "dad, wanna hear me talk about YouTube videos?" The father then corrects his previous statement, saying he would do *many* things for his kids.
Comics like these are the real reason my kids aren't old enough to read SMBC yet.
