That's what I'm hoping. I only played the demo single player, so I'm looking forward to checking out the coop.
It sure would be nice if I could just share screenshots via the Switch Online share function, but alas, I now have to find new ways to get my screenshots onto Bsky.
I've built a socioeconomic system that depends on everyone to do useful work and act ethically except the people at the top, who get unimaginable rewards for being antisocial frauds and criminals. And I think it will stand the test of time
Oh good, New York finally figured out that trash cans exist.
Yeah, one of the guys I play Marathon with has been pretty excited, and I really enjoyed the Next Fest demo, so I think we're going to jump in some time pretty soon.
Rob Goblin and Abacus Ross bonded over their shared hobby: eradicating humanity.
It's a cozy little place, this island.
There's a gleeful car crash observer quality to this whole conversation every time it comes up. A disturbing number of ppl love to watch a game fail.
Im just so tired of the CCU/DAU conversation around EVERY GAME now. It seems to supercede any substantive conversation about the game itself.
MrBeast is too afraid of your power, Jacob. He knows he can't handle it.
My Tomodachi Life island has no IP characters, and is instead inhabited by incredible weirdos like a robot named Abacus Ross, and a tiny goblin man named Rob Goblin.
Also. I'm there.
I played the next fest demo and loved what I played. Super interested in getting into it with friends now that it's out.
That does help. I'll push through then, because the show is fantastic otherwise.
WHAT THE FUCK MY ART IS IN FAMITSU???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WHAT??????????????????????????????
That is so rad!!
LOL you'll eventually be making homemade alfredo sauce for your dog each morning.
I'll look into it! At this point, I do his dinners, and my mom has to use a completely different wet food with his kibble in the mornings so he doesn't get bored of his food lol
My dog won't eat his kibble unless I stir in wet food, and then dress the whole thing in vegetable broth.
The things I do for him.
I watched this earlier today, and it was fantastic.
I feel bad that I haven't watched The Pitt yet, but hospital dramas are just difficult to watch for me. I started up the first ep and was like "the minute I see some horrendous gore I'm out" and then they showed a woman's foot after being run over by a train and i was like "yeah I'm good".
The classic gamer mistake: not looking up
I've found it's more reliable to hold jump to climb over things. I've found if you just press jump, you'll just jump against it, and bounce backwards.
LMAO what a haul!
Ben Starr is like Nemesis in RE3.
I'm in agreement. All I want from SBMM is reducing or eliminating the chances of ending up in games with people so wildly different in skill that I learn nothing from my deaths (or wins). Past that, variability in my opponents is good.
The massive Marathon Collector' Edition sitting on a chair in my office for scale. It's larger than a baby.
Anyway it arrived today, and it's gigantic.
Before ordering the Marathon Collector's Edition, I asked my family for permission to buy it. Not because I need that permission, but because I need to not feel guilty about buying something wholly unnecessary for such a considerable price tag. I am quite stingy with my money.
My copy of Tomodachi Life is supposed to arrive today. It already got delayed one day. I will be quite miffed if it gets delayed again.
I haven't encountered a good one either, but I'm convinced it's possible. I'm no data scientist, but I don't think the solution is no skill based matchmaking at all. I'm not fully on board with Marathon's lvl based matchmaking, because it makes matches miserable at the top end.
I think the biggest issue is how SBMM is implemented. I don't need a system to prune my games such that I end up wth a 50% win rate. I just want to play against players at my skill level. If that ends in a 30% or 70% win rate, it doesn't matter to me.
