Since doing the lines for this back in February I've been trying to reduce the detailing (less is more), and have been actively studying how to properly compose a piece...
So I'm just seeing a lot of flaws with this now.

Perpetua is in a defensive posture, arms in front of him, hands clenched into claws, like a vampire who has just risen from his coffin. The drawing is monochrome sepia, rather dark, with shading emphasised by ink hatching.
