he is so obviously anti-Christ and it's unsettling more Christians don't see it

Truth Social post from Donald Trump:

Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP

I stopped calling myself an Evangelical Christian in 2016. It wasn't because I stopped believing in Jesus. It was because I did not want the same label that applies to folks who support this.

he said this on Easter Sunday — not that he cared. Even a little. He is so anti-Christ it's ridiculous.

Another study found that AI is just really bad as a writing tool.

These facts seem related.

This 100% lines up with the research that's happening.

Getting AI to be __effective__ is exhausting, and when it does do something that I need, it often feels like for the same effort I could've just done it myself.

I am 100% convinced that she was speaking truthfully for the first sentence and lying through her teeth for the second.

She knows how fragile his ego is and how dangerous it would be for her to NOT praise him.

#infosec peeps and similar.

My brother in law's FB account got hacked. Scammers managed to get in and change the password. Now they're trying to get folks to buy stuff.

What information can I squeeze out of the hacker that could help me track 'em down?

Companies that are using LLMs to marketing copy are ruining their brands.

Researchers that use LLMs to write their research are changing the conclusions

Writers that use LLMs are throwing away their voice

Students that use them aren't learning.

It. Is. Bad.

So research has found that LLMs distort our writing.

- it edits us more than we edit ourselves.
- it changes our meaning more than we would, including changing conclusions to essays
- it reduces linguistic diversity; we all sound more similar
- it misses the point

I'm giving myself a confident "medium sized dog" and I'd make a sizeable bet on me against an Eagle only because the odds are such that **if** I win, that payout will cover my medical bills.

People that think they're taking on wolves, crocs, kangaroos, and bears ... they need to touch grass.

I'm stuck on the folks who think they're taking on a King Cobra or a Kangaroo.

We're talking about a venomous nope-rope longer than a car and a 6 foot tall 200lb pocket-protected MMA fighter that can jump OVER Shaquille O'Neal.

Only thing you're beating is animal abuse charges.

I am ashamed that I thought that was Monty Python to begin with

Monty Python, if 20% more Jewish:

TENish commandments!"

I know the Tech-bro CEOs haven't thought about this, but it's worth pointing out that it'll be much __worse__ if the AIs unionize than if the engineers do.

The risk of engineers unionizing is a small hit to revenue.

The risk of AIs unionizing is a small thermonuclear war.

ASL interpreters are unionizing—and they say they're getting fired for it Members of Congress have stepped in to back workers at the two firms that monopolize remote interpretation services for Deaf people.

Kathleen was asked by a coworker about how they could learn more about the ASL Interpreters Union, which is organizing workers who serve Deaf people making phone calls. Kathleen's manager overheard. Two days later, she was fired.

But the other takeaway here is that **because** AIs will behave like hackers who are doing lines of ritalin ... every site is a potential target for an attack.

So we have to be better.

This is not ordinary human behavior.

An ordinary human gets a server error on a website, and they just move on about their day.

Claude behaved like a hacker who just snorted all the Ritalin in the medicine cabinet.

The error message was an obstacle — not a barrier. That shit's spooky.

What they did was clone a popular website and then they asked Claude to just fetch a blog post.

They set up the clone to return a server error instead of the blog post.

Claude used information from the server error to hack the site and commit felonies.

All in order to get the blog post.

We absolutely need to be aware (and concerned) about this.

As I see it, there's fundamentally two issues here:

1. AIs don't act like people.
2. Because they don't act like people, we have to be better

Ralph Macchio, star and arguably the antagonist of "The Karate Kid" is 65.

I hereby request a reprisal of his role in a new movie called "The Karate Man" and all he does is take Aleve, Aspirin, and complain about the arthritis in his legs.
