The studio is still alive actually. They recently provided the animation for the newest SpongeBob movie, Search for SquarePants.

Barnyard rap, huh?
Smurfs, Angry Birds, Sonic, Street Fighter, and Heart Eyes.
All once were in the hands of Sony Pictures but went to Paramount, either before they were released or after Sony released a prior installment.
Free Birds was supposed to use this style, but the director opted to go with a more familiar look. It was claimed that the budget wouldn’t allow for the Looney Tunes CG style to be used, but the pinned comment on this video from the Director’s Assistant said otherwise. youtu.be/5wjkIEGD7Yg?...
Just watched Under the Boardwalk. I liked the characters, I liked the humor and I didn't even know it was a musical so that was a pleasant surprise. Overlooked gem from Paramount Animation.
I’m sure they found a way to include them in fitting and funny ways. Maybe Speedy gets confused as the Road Runner at one point, and Pepé owns a brand of perfume that somehow becomes part of the case.
Since Bugs Bunny is in this, I hope he has some fun interactions with Wile E., since they've interacted in the original shorts before (an UNDERRATED Looney Tunes pairing btw)
Coyote vs Acme is thankfully going the Back in Action route, where the Looney Tunes characters are spread out to have them feel as close to the original personalities and dynamics as possible, as opposed to Space Jam's ensemble (in A New Legacy's case, "family") route.
I don’t “network,” I make friends. Other artists are not my competition, they’re my beloved peers and sources of inspiration. We all have the same goal; to share our art. I’m not gonna corporatize my human relationships with them. I am in my sandbox playing and I hope they join me.
I missed when Nickelodeon Movies looked like this btw
Revisiting a childhood classic
Yep. I saw ChaO and that same day, I decided to go see Mario Galaxy for the third time since I wanted one more experience watching it with an audience.
Definitely based.
How the hell does this prick still have a platform?
This film was originally gonna come out in 2026, which would've been 20 years after the original 30-second Gummibär video, but now it's coming out in 2027, which is the 20th anniversary of the full-length music video.
I wonder how Fox reacted when he discovered that he can’t suffocate in space in Mario’s universe unlike in Lylat (he doesn’t cover himself in the Arwing until his last shot before going home).
It’d probably be something like Buzz in Toy Story when Woody takes off his helmet lol
A rare moment where a "modern" meme achieved long term success.
I guarantee y'all Sneakers O'Toole will be forgotten by August. Steamed Hams however manages to live forever amongst others of the library due to its YTP-level flexibility and how the original scene is really funny to begin with.
Letterboxd users, how much have you seen from the Comprehensive Animation List?
The director of ChaO, Yasuhiro Aoki, actually acknowledged in one interview that her fish form was seen as “cuter” than her more “human” design by most who saw it, like how with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, most fans preferred the Beast’s “beast” look over his human form.
Today is the 30th anniversary of Steamed Hams!
What’s dumb about the Avatar Aang leak thing is that the trailer wouldn’t have even dropped until 2 months before the October release on Paramount+. That’s 4 months of waiting for an official trailer after it had leaked.
They should just release the film in the summer at this point. Screw it.
There's only ONE movie in theatres that celebrates human/mermaid love. 💖
Catch ChaO, the zany aquatic romance from Yasuhiro Aoki and STUDIO4ºC, now playing. Be sure to rate and review on @letterboxd.social! ⭐️

The most intriguing part is that this will be the first Paramount animated film since 2011’s Rango and Tintin that’s helmed by a live-action director making his animation directing debut. It could lead to something refreshing and cool like those two.
We’ll have to wait and see.
Digital drawing of Chao's fish form and her big shoes
I have seen Chao twice now and if the weekend wasn't over I'd see it a third time
Beautiful fish wife with her stupid big shoes <3
It's such a good time
I hope they play the Forgotten Island trailer so that we get to see “Who Let the Dogs Out” be referenced in an upcoming film, followed up by the film that popularized it
