Employer is moving sites, & my partner was to get an admin position so they wouldn't have to have a 2 hour each way commute to the new lab site.
But they've now hired someone else & told partner that their contact won't be extended.
I'm so fucking furious that they've taken this away from them!

That's worse than losing your job? Watching someone you care about lose theirs.
My partner has been through 5-6 jobs in as many years. Hated them all for various reasons from bad bosses to hostile takeover, causing them to burn out twice.
But this employer, they loved!
