I took your advice and planted some bush beans for this year and I’m going to try to grow corn (ironically) myself for the first time. In all my gardening years, this is the first time I’m thinking it could be a necessity instead of just a hobby.

I had never once in my life called him George and it was the best moment. I took my son to see him in hospice care and he complained about having the baby see him all laid up in the bed and not dressed. I like to think he got himself together to look nice in the afterlife and looked over him

My favorite is actually my son’s story: he was 3 when he asked me if I had a granddad named George who was too sick and the doctors couldn’t help him. When I said yes, he asked to see a picture. He looked at it and said “yep”

She finds the babies and collects them in a pile…then the moms won’t come back and the local rescue won’t take them. It is VERY stressful for me to find her “collection” the next morning. She doesn’t mean to hurt them, but her interference abbreviates their life cycle
