Yeah my wife has been threatened with this by her estranged mother and when her mom actually talked to a lawyer about it, I'm told he "literally laughed at her" when he heard all of the circumstances.

Fun fact, my wife has gotten orders of protection against her. Her mom stood zero chance.

And full disclosure, it's not like my family is loaded. My mom works her ass off and helps where she can from time to time, but that's about it.

That's mainly what I was getting at is that to pull the ladder up after you, and then for people to celebrate that in hopes of their children "finding their bootstraps" is a little weird in my view.

Also, you can still have productive conversations on how to reform corporate structure in a way that benefits ALL members of said corporate entity, while acknowledging the harm that their exploitation of existing policy has already done.

In fact, that is often the first step.

I'm not painting every company as evil, I'm acknowledging the negative effects that current tax policy has on the working class vs the owning class.
