Selfie of me squinting against the sun. I'm middle-aged, skinny and white with black eye make-up. Behind me are university buildings and a big, abstract sculpture of long, white blocks.
TFW it's a sunny spring day and you forgot your sunglasses at home.

Also, people mix up "being tired of this shit" with "objectively low quality" with the later movies.
Many later MCU movies have better dialogue and pacing than many earlier ones. Maybe better overall, on some objective quality scale (if there is such a thing). But I, too, am TIRED of them now.

We saw a cat similar to yours when we were staying at a hotel down south over Easter (we visited family in the area). And then a second person with a cat like that! At the same hotel!
My dogs got so excited, I had to pull them away.
Now I wonder if there was a cat show in the area.

Yeah but I've seen this post going around that people BELIEVE rabbits love carrots merely because the fictional Bugs Bunny eats them! It's really weird!

There's this weird internet myth according to which it's a myth that rabbits love carrots (so ... META-myth?).
Of course they have individual preferences, but it's TRUE that most rabbits love them.
Too much carrot is unhealthy for them, but same as us, they love themselves some unhealthy snacks.

My boys, who just walked 20 km/12 miles with me, are a Tibetan Spaniel, German Spitz and Bichon Havanaise.
Kirk and Laban could easily adjust to less exercise if they had to. But I like to go long walks with them and when I do, they easily follow along. I can't OUTWALK these breeds.

Took a really long dog walk this morning, almost 20 km/12 miles.
Reminds me of a stupid-ass social media post I've seen several times: OP says humans have the best endurance, and that's why his dog can't follow him on long walks.
Dude, you're either walking in too hot weather or your dog is ill.

Reminds me of a 17th century Polish book on what to do when there's a plague coming. A Polish-American Youtuber read from it and it was fascinating ... One piece of advice was to try not to be so afraid, because fear makes you more susceptible of getting the plague. Plague incoming, but RELAX!

When I read Das Kapital and it's full of boring economic shit and nothing about transing kids or putting black women in video games. Those bastards lied to me.

Human Line Project, no.
Re the discussion I mentioned: At least one person has been hospitalized many times, but they're also quite keen to avoid this happening AGAIN, and thinks a lot about risk minimizing when they're home.

Also, not being raped in that situation isn't some super rare thing. It's pretty damn common to do these things and NOT be raped.
It's in situations like these that victim-blaming rape defenders suddenly go "pretty much all men, you should have known!" and feminists must go "not all men actually"

We need new terminology!
But you might also say that they manipulate you towards a goal their owners decided, which is "maximum engagement for maximum profit" or something along those lines.

I think it's POSSIBLE that people with a long history of a psychosis disorder have learnt to be a bit wary, whereas sane people don't have that wariness, so they're like Wow! what a great bot, it says such smart things, must listen to it.
But we'll see what the research says!

I think there are both destructive and constructive ways of engaging with stuff (illusions, hallucinations, "alien" thoughts etc) that ultimately comes from YOU, from your subconscious, because it might tell you something about yourself.
Not so with LLMs.

Good point!
People have asked me if I use LLMs and if I worry it might set something off. My go-to response is "No, I make do with the voices in my head like madpeople have always done. If it was good enough for Philip K Dick, it's good enough for me!"
But on a more serious note ... (1/2)

100% anecdotal small support for c:
Recent discussion with some bipolars discussing if LLMs can help when you're on the down.
"Tried it once, but it was bad for me so I stopped."
"Current Claude works for me, but might be bad for others."
Anyway. Research can't assume it must be a or b. (2/2)

AI Delusions Are Leading to Domestic Abuse, Harassment, and Stalking
ChatGPT and other AI chatbots are reinforcing users' delusions about other people — fueling fixations linked to stalking and abuse.
Reading stuff like this futurism.com/artificial-i... and thinking ... Many stories mention "no previous mental health problems" for LLM-psychotics. But is there any research on this?
Is it
a) higher risk if previous psych problems
b) no difference
c) LOWER risk if previous psych problems?

It sounds like something out of sci-fi. Like in the future, "cyberspace" (I imagine this is a book written a few decades ago) is just like a real place! And in this vast space there's an AI NATION created by sentient artificial intelligences! Some of them were "born" there, so they're AI natives.

This is why an EV uses so much more power in the winter than in the summer. The system must actively make extra heat to warm you up, unlike a fossil fuel car that spews heat constantly. (We can still job commute in our VW ID3 in -30 C ...)
