Trump told you he’d run America like a business.
He is.
It’s called asset stripping. You sell the profitable pieces, gut the workforce, load it with debt, and walk away rich while everyone else holds the bag.
Congratulations. You didn’t elect a president. You hired a liquidator.
Why does the #r4today journalist covering migrants in France sound like he’s narrating a wildlife documentary?
That framing isn’t coincidental, in the context of an incredibly xenophobic immigration discourse which reeks of anti-Blackness and is incredibly dehumanising.
Because the British political class is incredibly deferential to the police, even affording officers impunity for their racist violence.
It’s quite concerning that his supporters don’t see through this charade.
Precisely. 😭
Justin’s inability to discuss topics he holds strong views on impartially is quite annoying.
Seeking asylum isn’t a crime and neither is migration, it’s discriminatory.
Undocumented migrants have rights just like you, Justin, and no amount of inflammatory rhetoric will change that.

Meta just paid the lowest effective federal tax rate in its history.
Thanks to tax breaks and loopholes, it avoided $13.7B in 2025 federal income taxes.
But now it's planning to lay off 10% of its global workforce (8,000 people) by May 20 — with more job cuts later this year.
Trickle down hoax.
The strip-searching of children highlights how state institutions like the police reproduce the same patterns of violence we seek to prevent in interpersonal relationships.
When we call for police accountability, it is bec they exist to terrorise minorities on behalf of the social order.

The account of officers laughing at a naked child they had strip-searched was particularly disturbing. That kind of humiliation can transform the type of rela a kid has w/ their body. It is also the same exercise of power abusive men subject women/kids to in the context of heteropatriarchy. #r4today
Police officers are trained to infer criminality on Black bodies, regardless of validity, and they ALL see Black bodies as disposable.
BUT when the State is confronted w/ the most powerful people in the society: white, affluent, with a team of lawyers, it cowers & it bows the FUCK down.
#r4today
The fact that white kids are not strip searched at the same rate as Black kids shows that Black kids are denied the protections routinely afforded to their white peers.
But this isn’t just abt preferential treatment as much as the State not being powerful enough to completely destroy them. #r4today
“We are getting better, but children are still being strip searched.”
A reduction in no is irrelevant when children’s boundaries are still being eroded.
The strip-searching of Black kids is a tactic used by police to intimidate & humiliate — amounting to state-sanctioned sexual violence. #r4today
Mandelson shld never have been appointed, & the Royal Family shld never have shielded Andrew from accountability until the evidence became too overwhelming to ignore.
We continue to talk abt Mandleson, but the Windsors have been largely ignored since a racial slur was aired at the Baftas.

Agreed. The same people criticising Keir Starmer now were praising the appointment of Peter Mandelson when it was first announced.
As expected, the Queen is portrayed as a benign, grandmotherly figure w/ everyone’s best interests at heart, rather than as a monarch who used her considerable socioeconomic power to shield her son from accountability for his actions.
Those, it seems, were also part of her “family values”. #r4today
Keir Starmer famously said there was "no such thing" as Starmerism. He was half-right: there is no such ideology. There is however an approach to managing and running the country that is core to so many of the government's difficulties that we probably should call 'Starmerism'. In tomorrow's paper:
How many more people are going to have to resign for Keir Starmer's decision to ignore the advice of every single person who told him not to appoint Peter Mandelson?
Why didn’t the Prime Minister ask any questions about Mandelson’s vetting, even after he’d been sacked? Keir Starmer is a lawyer — why does he have a long distance relationship with curiosity?

We used to have to get written permission if someone was going to appear in the background of something filmed. How are tech bros allowed to just consume every photo you've ever taken, analyse and name the people in it and use it for their own money making?
Experiencing mental health problems doesn’t equal violence. Patriarchal violence is rooted in learned behaviour about power, dominance, and control. Mental health should not be used as a shield for violence.
This is the reason the stock market is completely disconnected from the real economy.

Thank you for your courage to publicly address abusive language.
Oh it turns out that vanquishing the college student who uses they/them in their email signature is not bringing you the fulfillment that you hoped for? You are still working in your crappy and unfulfilling job, paying a mortgage you now can't afford, and dealing with your annoying kids... I see.
I don’t want to discuss death with an academic — I want to talk to someone who has experienced a life shattering loss and found a way to overcome the despair, someone who knows what it’s like to live a life that feels like a wound that won’t heal.

““Intifada” is an Arabic word meaning “uprising” or “rebellion”. It’s what ppl oppressed by apartheid, occupation & tyranny do to seek their freedom. It’s only “hate speech” to those who uphold oppression.”
Western govts fear a ‘globalised intifada’ bec they are its targets, not Jews.
#r4today
Nick ques if the Met is conflating anti-Israel sentiment w/ antisemitism, while also claiming that calls to “globalise the intifada” are violent. The intifada is against the occupying force of the Israeli state, not against Jews. Israel makes the conflation & the BBC dutifully repeats it.
