It’s with maximum happiness that I say I was right and tonight’s Mystery Movie Monday was Hokum, due out on May 1. We have settled on a 4/5 star review, but I still feel like I’m buzzing after watching it. Loved it. I’m sure I’ll have more to say after sitting with it for a day or two

Gearing up for another Mystery Movie Monday horror edition. Usually, the mystery movie is one that will be released the next calendar month, so a few great-looking possibilities for tonight…but I’m crossing my fingers for Hokum
Returned home from work for my weekend to the latest Tana French mystery in my mailbox and several rainy days in the forecast. Just beautiful
IT FOLLOWS director David Robert Mitchell's new dinosaur movie THE END OF OAK STREET just released its first trailer. Watch it here.
Next up, digging into this debut
Better late than never: absolutely loved it. Great build-up, a quick climax, and a satisfying end. Immediately recommend.
I know Ted Lasso is coming back. But after re-watching the season 3 finale for the umpteenth time, an episode which for so long we thought was the series finale, I do believe this is a perfect bookend and will probably feel that way regardless of how the rest of the show goes
Don’t threaten me with a good time
What a total delight ‘How to Get to Heaven From Belfast’ is so far
I don’t think I can stress how bad Black Phone 2 was without being kind of an asshole about it
Tonight’s Monday Mystery Movie was Dracula: A Love Tale. It was marketed as horror but was definitely more comedy. More like a rom-com mixed with a Marvel fight sequence with Christoph Waltz sprinkled in. I’m not much a fan of vampire genre, but this was fantastic.
Also excited for this one! It’s going to be a great week of reading

Seated & starting the Stranger Things finale and I am stressed
Went to an early screening of We Bury The Dead, a hot take on the zombie genre that begs the question, what’s more dangerous: monsters, man, or…men? In all seriousness I thought this was a brilliant movie about closure that happened to include a chemical disaster and, basically, zombies
Wearing a blanket as a scarf to the movies so I then have a blanket for the movie
FYI: In unsurprising but still hugely exciting news, the third 28 YEARS LATER movie has been given the greenlight at Sony, with Cillian Murphy in talks to star.
I’ve been messing around with the Fuji X Half and honestly, I love it. It’s pocket sized, the film simulation is fun, and it’s nice to take a pause from always shooting in raw and taking every single photo so, so seriously. It does lack the heft of a film camera, but I’m having a blast with it
Immediately adding to our running list of horror to see. Looks unreal
