(another reason for the delay is that i've been extra-busy these past couple of days. maybe worthy of a note? i don't know really. :s)

imma have to delay the april 19 am for a couple of days (like 2-3), but for a good reason: i'm making more expansions to the nest for everyone's comfort navigating it. c:

the changes will be welcoming and should even improve some stuff performance-wise as well. excited to show.

an erroneous representation of a (served cold) sweet pie made out of biscuits, cream and chocolate (from bottom to top order). there are also chocolate-topped biscuits around the pie itself to give an extra decorattion.

around here i always get so bitter when they call image below a "dutch pie" when...

no? no it isn't????? dutch pies are made from apples, not (almost) like a cheesecake 😭

a sparkle of the image above with a visible chromatic aberration.

if you mean this, i may not be the author but i can give you some directions:

this is called chromatic aberration! it happens when you separate the red, green and blue parts of your existing layer with different positions, causing this "distorted" appearance as to how they're presented.

i wanted to make an article for this month and expand the mn page further than the three-pages available but it simply wasn't feasible given strong difficulties to settle on the article's subject. so i'm making smth different this time.

i can't promise anything next month but again, we'll see.

a day earlier because i have a *lot* to do these next days or so. most of which i can't disclose but, still pretty neat stuff regardless.

this month's a.m. (from mar. 22 to apr. 19) on micenest.xyz is @ps2romsfree.bsky.social .

*but* if you still want to tinker around with frameworks: yeah i'd say svelte is the current new fancy thing and i always liked it even pre-SvelteKit and whatever we have on the models, people's replies have been really positive about it.

long time "webdev" (i do much much more than that but i know web enough to know my hoops):

YOU DON'T NEED TO LEARN A JAVASCRIPT FRAMEWORK to make a good website! unless you are working with a lot of complex data (like say, a backend - to which you should prefer having that under a non-js language)

well, i guess i'd be lying if i said this was the best news i received this week but i can't really talk about the other one (and most people wouldn't get it anyways), so... :>

we'll let this one stand off. because it really is huge!

blender's delaunay fill algo was probably the best news i could ever hear this week

hell, maybe even this entire month! it's *that* insane to me given i was a strong critic of how blender handled this.

can't wait to give it more of a shot on the next month or so. i'm so happy.

(and here i was thinking that n64 recomps were weird enough, but at least those make more sense since that architecture is easier to generalize)

that's a good explanation!

i mean... they are not lying, are they?

for example:

don't expect something like Serum 2 to work (at least not flawlessly), anything by Izotope (except maybe the RX Audio Editor individual executable), some of the more recent KORG stuff... mostly instruments.

if you work majorly with FX though? probably gonna be a smooth transition.

if you work with vsts that are older than 3-5 years (hell, even some recently-released ones)... you are likely gonna be able to run it somehow.

most "recent" vsts that don't have any functional support are either because of drm restrictions (blame ilok) + One (1) featureset that wine needs to impl.

regular coffee drinker here

i drink it because it tastes good rather than for the caffeine need. hell, there's decaf for a reason.

there's no "ideal" way of drinking it nor do i think that it's something for everyone :>

...you're comparing coffee to a frappé though

two completely different spectrums lol

usually i don't really get to talk about these things in public posts (especially if it's quote reposts like this) but, culture is something priceless and more people can learn from discovering new things.

this defends in a way an objective of mine. to guide more people at exploring a new. :)

she would go as describing in a third-person about the resistance of music and how things should be sang so long as there is a world to address. proclaiming as The World-Ending Women (translated from A Mulher do Fim do Mundo).

worth a listen even if you struggle with understanding the lyricism.

one of my favorite albums that i listened to this year (thus far) was by the late Elza Soares. she was 85 years old when she recorded said album.
her career started in 1960, at 30 y/o and she would only start getting international acclaims at the early 2000s already having quite the advanced age.

you probably noticed by this point but for this month's a.m. i was very inspired to also make an artwork from one of their most recognizable characters.

this arwork was done entirely using just a keyboard. no extras, only manual key presses and a bit of patience within the span of 5-6 hrs. :)
