Honestly this current Jets team that Mark Milligan has built has been very fun to watch, definitely deserve to be on top of the league rn

This week's post for the @thetransferflow.bsky.social is on Middlesbrough, and how their season has unfolded since hiring Kim Hellberg in November. I wrote about:
- The uniqueness of Hellberg-ball
- Very strong underlyings
- Attack going cold at the wrong time

Drones, hype videos and data: The number-crunchers and "support engine" behind the USMNT's World Cup prep

In the tech world, it's always "fake it till you make it", even if you know a merely 0% of what you're talking about. Just amazing!
Back in 2024, we introduced the Balkans as a profitable supermarket for clubs to shop in.
Jake Entwistle has returned to reprofile the top-flight leagues in Serbia and Croatia – while also adding Greece, Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the mix – using SkillCorner data to find the future.

Worth saying Areola is one of the most reliable keepers in the PL and Perri has been, well, pretty awful

Credits to Eckert for getting the team to go toes to toes with Arsenal. Under a lot of previous managers, we would've gone defensive and relied on luck. But that performance was not it.
Well that was a performance that has made me fallen in love with this club again ❤️ 😇
While I'm ramping up to work on my SMNT World Cup match posters, here's a couple of promo designs I made for the SWNT Euro Qualifiers back in 2024. ⬇️🏴
Also hope people are realising Khusanov is excellent (but not as confident on that one)
What a chaotic day to watch the Bundesliga Konferenz, not regretting any minute of it tho
It's the weekend in some time zones, go follow some soccer nerds
That set lives in the history of UMF for sure, only a few sets can beat that reunion
I did like how compact Japan was in the 5-2-3, No space for Palmer/Foden between-the-lines.
Wing Backs pushing up when England FBs receive then the rest shifting over as a Back 4.
Front 3 + Kamada/Sano did a good job keeping an eye on Anderson/Mainoo.
SHM always delivers magic in Miami!
All the big European clubs are on the lookout for the next top midfielder who can help in different phases of play.
This week's post for @thetransferflow.bsky.social is on Johan Manzambi, who might be emerging as a future star #8 in the Bundesliga

🆕 Shogun Soccer 🇯🇵⚽️: What did we learn from the Japan National team's friendlies vs. 🏴 & 🏴 ahead of the #FIFAWorldCup?
- Center Back hierarchy clarity 💡
- Mitoma in attack & knock-on effects 🤔
- Back-up striker options ⚔️

perfectionism is so often seen as a permissive ability to create or drive something towards perfection, but in reality, it's a crippling inability to let go of anything imperfect
it's an obsession, it stagnates you, and gets you stuck on things you shouldn't be
Somehow I think he's still at Wolfsburg and thought, yeah that checks out with how bad they are this season, not realising that he's at Köln now 🙃
All hail Matthias!
So Italy's last game at a men's World Cup was when Suarez bit Chiellini and some people don't know the Wiggles did a song about it

Didn't expect Thailand to still rely on Manuel Bihr as one of their centre-backs lol
Also also tempted to come back to this series + do some underrated World Cup scouting this summer if anyone likes to read them and if I can get most of my stuff sorted out 🤞
Also an excuse to plug this article again if anyone is curious about what Tresoldi can bring. While you're at it, check out Gabri Veiga as well, who is flying under the radar at Porto after returning from Saudi.

I wasn't expecting Tresoldi to attract interest this soon into his Club Brugge time, was thinking this would be the season where he adapts to top-flight + European football and would start kicking off next season. He always has that potential, I just didn't expect top teams to recognise that soon.
