Hey #BWHQ I demand a GIF package release for burning wheel related products to nerd out with my friends!

We don't know what to send when we're giggling about the session!

Look!

Difficulty in Apocalypse World YouTube video by Sean Foer

Love this short video by @scenefour.bsky.social explaining degrees of difficulty in Apocalypse World (also applies to similar games).

I spent most of my years playing vintage in the era of WU-tant, UR fish, TPS, oath and gush dryad. I think I left during the Tarmogoyf era so I missed most of what you are describing. Never played legacy actually. I moved to pauper and then quit entirely :(

I miss MtG sometimes

Jeez. I stopped playing when Tarmogoyf was the only -goyf around. Is it just me or these creatures (especially Barrowgoyf) are incredibly broken?

Six-character relationship map, with lines between each dyad indicating their specific relationship and call-out boxes that express their primary desires, like "Win gasparo's undying love".

I think a lot about how relationship maps can drive design and play. Here's a map for a six-character game that includes lines of affinity and also primary motivations proximal to characters. Everyone but the king has at least one one-sided relationship. Everyone knows exactly what to do.

I still remember your first posts on the other social about Street Wolves. You really did it mate! I am so happy for you!

Cool! Sounds really compelling

It is very compelling. What about the characters? Like, so far what you describe feels possibly appropriate for a board game as well. Where does the role-playing part kick in? Who are the thieves? What kind of stories are powered by these incursions?

It looks super interesting! I would be interested in knowing how you picture a session of Black Cowls in your head. Like, how the conversation would unfold at the table?

"So, you are making a game where the characters are thieves in a fantasy world? But isn't there already Blades for this?"
The difference is between a heist game and a stealth game. I think (I hope?).
