Love it when a project turns out exactly as I planned πŸ’•.
Pattern: altered mccalls #m8032
Fabric: Hokkoh cotton voile (I think), lined with cotton sateen
Alternations: used my own sleeve and armscye, drafted pockets, drafted skirt lining, cut the skirt between views A+B lengths.

This dress got me out of a sewing slump. I ended up changing my mind twice about what to make with this pink linen, but finally settled om the WBM Abby. I underlined with offwhite cotton sateen because it was so sheer.

This year we have several family events, so I made a nice dress to wear to them all.
Pattern: McCalls #m7802
Fabric: batik viscose

This was not a fun pattern to make, and I almost gave up on it entirely. Love how it turned out but won't be making it again.

Lots to catch up on. First up is a silk blouse I made by combining several patterns. This fabric is so unbelievably lightweight, I was afraid of ruining it the whole time I was sewing. It turned out fantastic, though 😁.

Much better fisheye darts on this one πŸ™Œ. Pattern is #B6852 with altered armscye/sleeve cap for maximum movement. Also changed the sleeve from 2 to 1 piece.

Fabric is batik cotton poplin, and the fun resin cuff buttons were made for me by my amazing best friend πŸ₯°.

A very altered #b6852 (which is also #m7575) made from silk noil.

I need more practice on fisheye darts πŸ™ˆ, but I am really happy with how this turned out. I made a lot of adjustments to the sleeve/armscye so that I can lift my arms.

Finally made some progress on my #folkwearpatterns English Smock. I started it about a year ago, and it's been very slow-going. Finding out a good way to do the grid for the smocking was my biggest roadblock.

Thank you! The instructions were good, IMO. I have also made their Tosti Jacket, and I liked that one as well.

The other project I am most proud of from last year: my winter coat.
Pattern: Mitsuba by Waffle Patterns - I used a longer zip and added flaps to the pockets
Fabric: Nylon ripstop outer, silk satin lining, wool + thinsulate batting, pockets lined with flannel.

I used McCalls 8032, and modified it by lengthening and adding elastic to the hem of the sleeves.

Finished up some jeans today that I cut out a month ago πŸ™ˆ. I've made so many Ginger Jeans over the years, but this is the first time doing the stove pipe leg. Why did I wait so long to try it?

Fabric: 9oz stretch denim
Pattern: Ginger Jeans by Closet Core
