I was That Person and called the city to ask if the trees had been cut down or transferred, and if they were coming back, and a very kind person looked into it and told me they at least got moved to a tree farm. Not a "tree farm upstate," I think.

The city did some construction outside our house and removed a row of gingko trees that had emotional value to me and Momo. I feel genuine tree-grief.

I’ve tried making product of things I kind of like just to make money. Those things have, honestly, sucked.

I’m not wired to make ruthless decisions about Content. If I was, How Baby would be shortform video content and I’d be rich. But I don’t want to influence, I want to yap about shit I like.

It’s been kind of humbling watching artist alleys — places where you buy weird fanart from people who also feel feral about that thing — change into places where you buy milquetoast acrylic future-garbage from someone who, while kind and lovely, is primarily motivated to sell product.

Not being able to feel (most of) your feet (except for pain) leads to some interesting experiences like feeling suddenly nauseated and panicky and realizing it’s because Shoes Very Wrong.

I think part of the third question is because ASL is a unique mode of language, with layers of meaning beyond the words themselves (like puns, intensity, directionality.) Seeing something in ASL conveys information in a way subtitles can't. (I assume, as a beginner/outsider!)

Our writers room is also a safe place for the dumbest version of the idea. Works great!
