Happy birthday, tell death Not Today!

Eye Of the Commando asks 'What if Mercs and Contra were a turn-based dungeon crawl?'. The answer is 'Whoa, this works better than I could have expected'.
Not a roguelike; fully bepoke, hand-crafted mazes, silly dialogue and remarkably tactical combat with plenty of weaving between big round bullets
Just an incredible nerdjpg thread
Two hills, lol
It also has the most charismatic camel in gaming, 10 years running.
Moon Hunters got me, many ~~moons~~ years ago. Something about it stuck, maybe I'm just a sucker for backwards singing, I don't know.
Look at this footage! The correct amount of Shit Flying Everywhere, a well known gameplay pillar (@andrew-weldon.design agree?)
Seriously, never again. You little critters are safe here with me. I'll eat Monkey Jerky before I risk angering the rabbit gods IRL again.
Dungeons of Freeport - a classic roguelike with ANSI style codepage 437 graphics and pixel-art frame around it.
DUNGEONS OF FREEPORT IS OUT!
An Extraction Roguelike Dungeon-Crawler for Linux, macOS and Windows - you and every other player get the same procedurally generated dungeons to delve into each day!

We need a group chat that's "People Getter7 Thinks Would Like These Hidden Gem Dope Dungeon Games", I'm sure there's friendships just waiting to happen.
The cleaning done, I come back upstairs and gently explain to Alison that yes, this is actually all my fault, because my octet of j-school kids / dungeon heroes slaughtered a rabbit this morning, mea culpa, but it won't happen again.
It won't.
I'm keeping all of them now. In piles around the base.
She said I should just toss it all in the nearby bushes for the birds. I did that, and then when the rabbit's head hit the ground, another rabbit ran past me, out from some bushes elsewhere. Bruh. That did not feel good. I know rabbits don't scar like we humans do but still. 4/?
I put on some gloves and went outside and ye gods, yeah, it's like someone TF2-gibbed Peter Cottontail. It was like a low level MMO player's backpack exploded. [Rabbit Head] [Rabbit Intestine] [Rabbit Palp] [Leg of Rabbit x 2] I could just scoop all this up and be the hero of Westfall. 3/?
She comes home from her early morning doctor appointment and she is in tears when she gets upstairs. "Did you get my message?" she bawls. No, I did not.
Something slaughtered a rabbit and left all the bits on our front porch.
I am not making this up. 2/?
I'm playing this PS4 blobber called Zanki Zero. This morning I discovered you can farm a hunting location and get [Cute Rabbit] as an item. Does it relieve stress? Make the island better? No, you cook it, it's food. My first thought was that the wifey will not care for this, but that's ok. Then, 1/?
I haven't patched my StreamDeck since like version 6 and change or something, and I keep seeing new features in the update screen and they've got to just be fucking with us at this point, right? A lever? Is this the 1 April update?
7:30am is too early to be tilted. I was looking forward to today, and the good stuff hasn't changed, just, ugh. Gonna be like one of those cars in F&F that eats an explosion by spinning 1080 degrees, rolling twice, flipping once, but still landing wheels down and toolin' along.
Positivity requires effort and insight, lazy people are giving you flak for working too hard.
It's a magical thing to recognize "This game isn't for me" is different from "This game is shit" and that's what makes good reading worth reading.
I have to own it.
I don't know what Kei and Midi really mean but if those are now indie game tiers mine are all rank FM Synth, tyvm, your friend Jim

Talkin' with therapist yesterday, she mentioned Vitamin D as a thing, sure sure, but also that Vitamin K was needed to absorb said D. And I asked her how much, in comparison, was needed, and the bottom line is that even in therapy I cannot escape my shamefully low K/D Ratio.
Tomorrow -- 9 April, 8pm? I may have to watch on my phone while also engaging with a fancy group dinner, hmm.
This is exciting news!
Prototyping the shield throw. A big part of the combat. Inspired by Rygar and Völgarr the Viking.
You are able to do a quick throw or charge it for more power and distance. Visuals need some updating, but the mechanics are working great
