People are enjoying a roller coaster ride at Lagoon Amusement Park, and there's an announcement about the retirement of the Jet Star 2 coaster.

I came home from work and saw this post on Instagram from Lagoon announcing they will be retiring Jet Star 2 after this season. I am heart broken. Jet Star 2 has been one of my favorite coasters for a long time. I will miss it.

Details about a ride include its maximum speed, g-force limits, height, and capacity, along with humorous comparisons and notes.

I do have to call Lagoon out on one thing from their recent Fun Time Newsletter. They state that Nutcracker’s 105 static height is taller than Wicked’s tower. Wicked’s tower stands 110 feet tall, so Wicked is taller. Nutcracker’s swinging height will definitely go higher than Wicked.

An invitation to an exclusive unveiling event for a new attraction at Lagoon on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM is featured, with treats available while supplies last.

Looks like Lagoon will announce their 2026 ride next Friday, October 10th at 5:00pm. The announcement will take place between Wild Mouse and Fire Dragon. Treats will be served until they run out.

Lagoon amusement park gets Utah liquor license, with plans for Club 33-inspired private club Lagoon Amusement Park was approved Thursday for a full Utah liquor license in anticipation of a new private club opening at the Farmington park next spring, similar to The Walt Disney Co.’s Club 33.

We now know a little more about The Atrium (upper area of Peacock Parlour and Carousel Candy). According to an article by the Salt Lake Tribune, it will become a private club similar to Disney’s Club 33 and feature two themed rooms.
