Israel just moved its northern border 30 miles into Lebanon, annexing 10% of the country, displacing over a million people who have been told they won't be allowed to return, while Jewish settlers plan on moving in.
The international community, and the UN does sweet fuck all.
WTAF ?
Are you also gonna flag any time someone uses gmail in the email field? 👀
No worries!
So, I wouldn't add evaluations of "less" or "more" accountable, but it's adding more accounting for the reviewer.
I can be primed for patterns that AI agents use that I don't find tasteful in my code, or that are plain wrong, etc.
Other institutions (e.g. unis) require it, why not us?
What about accountability for using an agent as part of the work?
Maybe an X-Agent-Aided?
Yoooo deep cut, I think one of these might be sitting in a drawer in Clifden
All checks have passed ✅
Is it the guy I’m thinking of? 😂
I had the chance to speak about Radicle and it's local-first elements at FOSDEM. Thanks to @nikobonnieure.bsky.social and openlocalfirst.org for giving me the opportunity to do 😊
Got to meet some great people, and managed to squeeze in a few talks too 😮💨
If you're in London for a while, hmu! Could grab a coffee :]
My trick is accepting the ephemerality of life and that I'm lying to myself that I'll read that tab eventually 🧘♂️
Bluesky restricting my access to message somebody until I verify my age.
Well this is absolutely fucked. I can’t DM someone who I mutually follow because of age restriction in the UK?
Let me quickly switch to my Irish sim 🙄
You should have seen the state of the local-first room
An abstract piece representing code bases 😚👌
I don’t know man if capitalism has just resulted in a small network of pedophiles destroying all life on earth then perhaps we should consider that it is a complete and utter failure as a system
🗣️
Thanks Ben 🥰
William Byrd is who presented miniKanren on the day!
I had a similar thought when I first was introduced to Idris and miniKanren during a functional programming Meetup, in Dublin.
These languages could produce code based on type signatures and tests, respectively.
Throw in an AI and you get a code generated, guard railed system 🚄
My thoughts are purely declarative
There'd be a lot more remote workers in Galway if the WiFi only worked when it rained

Fintan Halpenny, Radicle Maintainer, talk banner for The Future Home of Open Source. The talk is at the Funding the Commons event during Devconnect in Buenos Aires, November 19th, 2025.
From London to Buenos Aires 🏴➡️🇦🇷
@fintohaps.bsky.social is back talking about The Future Home of Open Source with Funding the Commons (bsky.app/profile/did:...)

Food for thought for the time being 😄
I'll be curious about how you want tackle consistency for comments. Diff algorithms have parameters that can be chosen by the end-user. So, we've wondered how to give power to the users while also having a consistent view 🧐
Currently, there is a data model for reviews, but it's been more of a light-PoC, and definitely needs more thought.
That's where linking in with Flirt would really help!
Radicle is also extensible, so there could be a Flirt specific COB (Collaborative Object).
Hey 😊
I'm one of the maintainers on @radicle.xyz, and came across your blog. It's super interesting and quite the undertaking – love to see it 😍
It would be great to explore how Flirt could work with Radicle. We've thought about some of these problems in the past too – without any solutions (yet!)
