Monsters. Mobsters. Whatever.

They would go out for tampons if you need them, but they might get distracted rescuing orphans from mobsters along the way. But when they get back, pretty sure they would have picked up some chocolate too…

There’s a Mrs Piggle-Wiggle chapter when every time the parents make their kids do anything, the kids stomp and shout, “I’ll do it because I Want to, NOT because you tell me to!” And … it feels very familiar.

Is he huffing and puffing? Between the babbling about war — next to a … bunny.

Hey, let’s not malign the hardworking school secretaries!

Oh, during the pandemic, I used a toddler potty in a minivan … several times. And I’m afraid it didn’t even rate on my list of mortifying actions (though I do take great care to suppress those memories as much as possible.)

It feels like you’re suggesting the murdering is for … Less… important reasons than extruded “cheese product”?

Look at that beautiful Cholula gracing the table with her elevating presence. This is what I was promised America could be.

You built that baby in 2025, right? Too late already. Baby is actually made of plastic. Sorry, Grandma!

This would help me so much. Every time I look at the icons, it takes me a split second to interpret them. Yes! Nooooo… would be so much easier! 😏

I thought that was … kind of the point? He was fibbing to himself just like sooo many people do? Luckily, it does seem he had more guardrails in place than many others.

It’s long but really good. Maybe read it in “chapters” if that works better for you.

But in many places they don’t have the opportunity to play at all after age 12 at the recreational level. Yes, some might shock everyone and grow and get good. Others won’t. But they should all still have the chance to play — without pressure to be great or nothing.

I’m particularly irate about how this new model reduces access for all kids — the ones of middling (or less) talent and budget… There’s less and less ability to participate in a moderate, recreational way.

I complained a lot while pregnant with each of my kids, but now that it has been many years and I'm unlikely to experience that condition again: I didn't complain Nearly enough. ... I hope you're demanding ALL the things you need to make this bearable. (But also, babies are super great!!!)

They would not find this compelling. They believe that they were born w/ more privilege due in part to generations of “superior genes” (which they consider akin to moral superiority) AND they would argue that the reason those children suffer is due to “poor nutrition.” They just don’t & Won’t care.

‘I Genuinely Am Upset That Your Kids Are Vaccinated’ Del Bigtree, a longtime ally of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., isn’t just anti-vaccine. He’s pro-infection.

Like “everyone is 12”, but worse, they were 12 twenty to forty years ago (by most of the media choices) and just … stayed there. It’s a wonder Totino’s didn’t get their own stratum on the new food pyramid.

(And nothing I’m reading today suggests they’re even trying, so *shrug*)

I still think they Could win back some of the decades of goodwill they built up — with some Very Radical changes. Many of us who have shifted our shopping habits aren’t 100% satisfied with the alternatives and could be persuaded back. But only *IF* they demonstrated massive change … SOON.

A reading book with child-sized arm chairs, birch trees and stars wallpaper, and a koi pond rug.

This tiny koi pond rug took the whimsy level of this large-closet-turned-reading-nook to a new level for us.

Ok, but what’s that social media manager doing? Does *she* want to run for office? Or at least chat on some cable news panels or something?

Chickpeas and white beans, white beans and chickpeas. Perfectly fine ingredients, of course, and indispensable for some things, but NYT acts like they’re more necessary than salt.

Whose to say Noem wouldn’t steal it *to* kill it?

But I like the mnemonic. More useful than having “bird-legged ho” on loop in my head.
