I was bullied enough to where "It was just a joke" rings hollow. It's ALWAYS what some petty, vicious, small minded thug says when they get called out on being a cruel fecal stain of a human. This man does not joke. He's got the mentality AND methods of a middle-school playground bully.
When we say "explicitly neo-Nazi" we mean channels that fly swastikas and praise Hitler. That's the zone of internet where DHS is apparently finding inspiration for their X posts. It's ultra unlikely they would have ever encountered that song if they weren't in that space, imo.
We provide a piece of ourselves. We as individuals are very much "the product" as not two voice actors can deliver quite the exact same emotion/delivery/cadence/FEELING as another. Sure we can imitate each other well enough for iconic characters. Soundalike work is a thing. But there's only one you.
One of the coolest projects I've been on actually looped me into the discussion, in-session a few times. "I liked 2 and 3, I cant decide." "Me either. Duffy? Which one felt the best to you?"
It was amazingly kind of them to put confidence in my estimation of my own performance.
