Strikes me as odd how clear the incentives in high school/college are vs. after college.

Once you graduate, no one grades you.

There are no leadership awards, just life.

Bay Area ain't looking too bad.

It's surreal to see that when people become old and retire, that they turn to what they did as children; exploring their interests and being creative.

And yet the prevailing advice, from 20s-60s, is to keep our heads down & work.

Strikes me that it's better to start now than later.

I find myself picturing my writing to having to be a certain way or up to a particular standard.

Which sucks because then nothing is good enough.

And when you've got great writing like @waitbutwhy, that's pretty hard to beat.

But you gotta try, one step forward at a time.

Just keep swimming. 🐠

I never realized how soothing commuting by train can be when done right.

You get time to yourself, the views of the city & houses as they wiz by and the background chatter of people talking.

Definitely something worth trying.

Sometimes I find myself getting caught up with the mundane.

Takes time to realize it's just a matter of how much does this thing matter to me and is it worth occupying my head space?

If it's not important, then be OK with it.
Otherwise, do something about it.

Sitting around, vibing & talking with friends is really underrated.

But no one really tells you that because you can't sell it. It's free.

So we see ads on alcohol, bars, raves, fancy vacations and distant oases.

Turns out what we were searching for was always right there all along.

Garage sales are a total vibe.

People driving by, glancing and then moving on. The walkthroughs and going over old junk. The bargaining over $20,$50, $100 bucks.
