Like this is one example: www.reddit.com/r/Pragmata/c... it's already pretty overt with what gets upvoted and downvoted there, but there were previous deleted posts that were even worse, I assume the mods nuked them
Posts by Teodomo
comments explaining the emoji is a dog whistle or talking about them negatively get heavily downvoted. I also searched Pragmata fanart on Twitter and the suggestive ones had thousands and thousands of likes. There seems to be a lot of these people
Same with the Pragmata subreddit. They flooded it with suggestive fanarts/comments and the mods banned those. They'd spam "๐ญ"; mods banned it too. But still they show their presence with their votes: in threads talking about Cryana emote all the upvoted replies are "based" and "Capcom knows" while

A screenshot of a list of the lastest Latin American games, focused on the games A Planet Full of Cats, Gears of Glory, The Confinement and Town of Zoz, all of which came out April 9, 2026.
Four new Latin American games today! Three of them Brazilian as is tradition (Brazil makes up the vast majority of LatAm games) and one Brazilian+Chilean+other non-LatAm countries
I remember that feeling so unfair that I took it upon myself to recommend your channel every time the topic of gaming or just YT channels came out, I must have done it like 15+ times on by now lol

I don't know. Just throwing out a possibility. In any case, I don't know what the tone of the discourse has been like up to this point regarding all this, I just heard of it now. Hopefully nothing too toxic. Thanks for your art, I hope you're having a nice day!
but an advantage Undertale/Deltarune has is that there are devoted fan translator groups in every language. Fans that have grown up with Undertale and might understand its soul better than a corporate alternative. Maybe involving them in Undertale's localization would help assuage your concern a bit
It's true that localization is not always faithful (any English speaker that grew up playing Japanese games knows this, but we all would be worse off if we hadn't played our favorite Japanese games instead of playing clunky English translations, or in our case Japanese>English>Spanish ones),
Undertale's iconography. But I've found it extremely rare to find one that has actually played it, for that they need to have a combo of gamer + English speaker or Internet savvy + luck. Every one of these past 11 years feels like a missed chance to touch and inspire them with this story.
My perspective as a teacher in a Spanish-speaking Latin American country is that having Undertale in Spanish would be a balm to the soul of many of my "weirder" students. I know it'd speak to them. Some kids here even have Sans t-shirts without having played the game, such is the power of
Oh I also finally combed through all the itch games that are already in my DB to add a couple of data points for them (number of itch ratings, itch average rating). This has resulted in a lot of itch games' scores being properly weighted and no longer ending up at the bottom of every given year
I also created 3 lists to showcase LatAm games with the Name-Your-Price scheme (mostly from Itch) and free games. A lot of games missing from these ones, I just need to comb through hundreds of itch profiles to fill them out: backloggd.com/u/Teodomo/li...
There's also a LOT of Latin American video games that simply are not in Backloggd, so those will have to be added to IGDB. Hopefully by the devs themselves, but if by the time I've done with everything else no one has done I'll do it (also add covers to ones without).
Ofc there's a lot of games missing from this list (and any other of my country lists), but now that I've basically created their 1.0 versions it's just a matter to keep adding games to my spreadsheet and to these lists at the same time. I've got a ton of itch/Steam/etc dev profiles to scour now!
I've been busy with work and social media doesn't come naturally to me anyway but I wanted to share that I've finally gotten the Brasil list to a workable state! Now it includes all years with everything sorted: backloggd.com/u/Teodomo/li...
This one from the same country (tho it comes out the other week) seems interesting as well: store.steampowered.com/app/2821110/...
These past few years made me a sucker for detective/investigation games so I'm looking forward to store.steampowered.com/app/2466900/...
So basically Epic purchased Aquiris, which was iirc the biggest Brazilian game studio at the time, just to let it and its history be vanished from existence, cool
If there wasn't a risk of maaaybe losing the subreddit or getting in trouble with the admins they would leave these misinfo threads for far longer. Except when the tide thread turns against the misinfo, then they delete instantly. All about doing as much harm as possible to the ppl they hate.
The mods of that sub follow the same playbook many other misinfo subs do: they let lies or misconstrued stuff stay racking upvotes/comments, then once most of the sub + enough r/all eyeballs have been exposed to it they delete without ever rectifying. It's totally intentional at this point.
I seem to remember back when shorts came out people mentioning they didn't pay almost at all. Is that still the case?
It's crazy to read this the same day I'm doing official teachers' sensibility courses from my country that explicitly say the opposite from like 80% of those points. And we are under a right-wing gov that's rlly trying to dismantle all that rn! It's just that they don't have that much power to do it
I wonder if they kinda saw them somewhat as hiragana and katakana. As in "a % of people might be able to read one but not the other". Which, technically correct
Same happened to me! lol
You're my ESL inspiration. Writing is one thing, elegantly reading out loud without too many distracting pronunciations of random words is often next level for ESLs, but your fluency even in improvized, live settings never ceases to astound me. While at the same time saying stuff w/substance.
Trying to imagine what goes through the mind of a person generating this. Do they see themselves as a deceiver for a righteous cause? Or as someone smugly "hacking" humanity into their bidding? Do they trick themselves that they are just facilitating "lost visuals" for "stuff that surely happened"?
