Galactic Hellcats 3 is in time-out while I revise a previous novel for a "revise and resubmit".
That novel was 100,000 words long. I cut it to 50k (to the point they said to change what happened.) Now at 74k.

Yeah, when mine came out my boss, very earnestly, asked me if I was thinking of quitting. I was like, dog, my advance was $200. I think you have nothing to worry about.
I wrote stories all my life, from about seven years old until I sold my first semi-pro at the tender age of 39 for $50. I had logged something like 700 submissions at that point.
Nothing makes me gasp "You poor thing!" like someone saying they want to take up writing to make money.
The trouble is, once you found a cult, you have a cult, and then you have to feed it and take it on walks...
