This is what russian terror does to animals: heavily stressed out after surviving drone attacks during evacuation from Kramatorsk, this poor dog can barely breathe💔

We hope he will feel safe again.
And that our air defenses will help with that:

Shipping every single word - did we really need a "scientific" study to prove that lobsters can, indeed, feel pain? How self-righteous one spices must be not to realize this simple truth?

The foreign minister literally locked himself in the building with his flunkies and they spent days shredding state papers to hide their guilty relationships with Moscow.

Being both #vegan and a #beekeeper is a contradiction.
Because I don't exploit the honey bees in my care, I was asked to add a retiring beekeeper’s colonies to my apiary; he wanted the best for them.
Are there other beekeepers thinking about Bee Rights?

England wildlife watchdog ‘has stopped designating special sites for protection’ Exclusive: Report finds Natural England has created no new SSSIs, which protect areas from development, since 2023

The chief executive of @wildjustice.bsky.social
said: “While #NaturalEngland dithers and ‘reviews processes’, irreplaceable wildlife sites are being trashed, damaged, and even built over. That is not a technical failure, it’s a dereliction of duty.”

Of 22 sites being held on a waiting list, before designation, 14 were at risk from development. That's 64% of potential SSSI's, and the wildlife living within them, at risk of being lost.

I found this👇surprising when I read it this morning. Surely messaging to children is regulated?

Animal testing horror as photos show monkeys, pigs and dogs in crying in pain Campaigners immediately call for the Government to 'accelerate' its pledge to phase out tests using animals, branding footage as 'shocking' and "horrific."

This is hideous, actual animal torture in the name of science. While the actual science of animal testing, it’s efficacy when it comes to human health (the lack of correlation) suggests this is all for nothing.

Labour promised to end this - please hurry up.

This is what humans do to animals 👺They breed and feed them. Drag or truck them to the slaughterhouse. Tie them up slit their throats or shoot them in the head first. It al makes no sense. When are you going to step away from using and killing animals? #LiveVegan try to live a good life 🙏

Colony 2 was clear on the floor. I'd knocked a pupae off a frame, opened the cell. A nasty story, 5 adult Varroa and eggs. Doubly releived I treated both colonies. My microscope doesn't have a camera, this is my cheap little #Sony cybershot W800 down the lense. White blobs are hundreds off eggs

Yesterday, I did my first open inspection, was delighted to find both colonies heavy with stores and no sign of varroa, did the sugar test-nothing. Every spring and autumn I replace the floors with clean ones, and I look at the floor debris under my microscope. Colony 1 a single juvenial varroa😠
