This would genuinely ruin Alastor's plan, because it relies primary on Vox being a dumbass. And if Vox actually realized he had all the power and leverage in their relationship then all that manipulation is dead in the water.

But he's still...doing all of that, to make Vox look at him. Just like how he's always been playing to get Vox to notice him and talk to him. He's pulling on Vox's metaphorical pigtails.

and something just CLICKS in Vox's head and he finally, finally makes the connection that Alastor is desperate for his attention.
He's lying, and being a bitch and trying to deflect by playing on Vox's insecurities and his desire to get Alastor's attention.

I think the funniest version of s2 would've been Vox realizing halfway through Alastor's poor baby kidnap victm ploy, that Al is also very clearly in love with him
Maybe Al does ANOTHER slutty thing that gives him plausible deniability (like spreading his legs, or batting his eyes. hes such a whore)
