there's an "Anti-AI & AI Haters" list with some 300k users on it, that Why (the name of the bsky vibe-coding dev lead known for comedy acts such as "I put my phone in a swimming pool to try and cool it down and it bricked it") just subbed to, rendering half of bsky's userbase unable to reach support
This is how I found out I'm on an "Anti-AI/AI Haters" blocklist somewhere, as I'm also blocked by the Technical Advisor for Bluesky 🤣

I'm blocked also which generally wouldn't faze me but this is supposed to be a serious and usable website?
@support.bsky.team Needs to get involved and get this issue fixed. It's not ok to break core functionality because an individual employee gets angry at 300,000 people.
Many orgs have understood the value of firewalling certain teams from customers(in this case users), but BlueSky is not one of them. It's also in general horrific engineering practice to build functionality tied to user accounts. This is why service accounts exist.
That's good! But someone else pointed out that if an affected feed is still working for you, it could be a cache issue and it might eventually stop working for you.
"Quiet posters" is also blocked for me now. Great user support!
Sorry to everyone for missing your posts and not interacting anymore, those feeds were core parts of bsky useability for me.
OMFG I take this back this is INCREDIBLY annoying because now the "latest from mutuals" feed doesn't work for me, because it's owned by @why.bsky.team who is blocking >300,000 of us for no reason and preventing us from using basic bsky tools

Unless things have changed that much since I was in the corporate world, an employee breaking your product's functionality because they got upset is like... open-and-shut "clear out your desk" stuff.

Oh my god, the bsky dev team is running actual site functions from their personal accounts and those functions break for any users they block? This is not how you run a company.
