That’s one way to look at it, and I don’t necessarily disagree.
But, expensive?

Lotsa respect for tech companies that emphasize their stand on various societal, ethnical & civil issues. It really empowers us as founders on how we can impact the world beyond the commercial side of things.
Seeing this acknowledgement at dyspatch .io 's website footer is one such freshness.
I am so tired listening and reading about the AI revolution. Can we get back to business?
UK gov site be like:
Going down a rabbit hole of any kind and shut the world out gives my brain an intellectual comfort.
People who don’t do this and just embrace the noisy world, how do you find that?
Thanks! It's a good read, and I enjoy the real and grounded side of your journey :)
It’s simply how the world works, time change and I guess have find my other source of motivation.

I’m stepping out from being a Shopify plugin and exploring more platform agnostic product.
Because that’s how mine was, being a stay at home non dev solo founder dad, speed isn’t my best attribute and I’m largely ok with it.
Today’s IH sphere doesn’t offer the same level of comfort and motivation.
Speed is everything, even before AI assisted coding exists.
Many of these founders went on to become very (x3) successful.
As someone who feed on these stories for motivation and found reasonable results, I’m happy for them.
I’m also in constant searches for more folks who shared their slow grind journey.
The hardest thing I find in bootstrapping an indie saas is staying motivated.
I started listening to indiehackers in 2017, and only in 2020 i started taking action.
In hindsight i find the overall IH content sphere back then way more authentic, as folks shared their *slow grind* journey.
Congrats!
Months ago I've left Twitter (logged out, occasionally I manually stalk some of my friends' account with a fresh Twitter acc)
I wanted to, but didn't get on BlueSky as I thought I would be.
Found myself spending more time on Threads recently instead :/
Told my kid about the boy who cried wolf.

Next I told him about Sang Kancil & Buaya (Mousedeer & crocodile)
/ Lesson: lying to get what you want is smart
Eh wait….
Setup a custom domain email few months ago to receive & send email as hello@domain.com - for free
Wanted to add another custom domain setup now, but I forget how I set it up in previously 😂

I don't remember you can do that.
They say Asia / Malaysia is 10 years behind the west.
While this is no longer true, I just realized this is where I am at right now.
About 15 years ago, there were multiple big booms around SAAS, cloud, API and data. Today I’m finally doing a very shallow dive into the intersection of all these🤩
and we are back to 5 stars now 😍
And the app review has firmly dropped to 3.4
I haven’t felt so mentally alerted the whole day for awhile now.
Apparently my support flow has been broken for months now.
It is both a miracle & misfortune that I only got a 1 star review today when one of the many paying customers decided they have had enough.
I’m fixing the support flow while onboarding a new dev now.

10 years late to the API game, but hey - the 2018 me would never in his wildest dream see myself getting excited about API.
I can see why folks *hate* A House of Dynamite, but it's a fun watch to me.
It reminds me of Leave the World Behind (which I really enjoy as well)
wait what?
Having a CTA item (like a searchable keyword or memorable url) helps for me, as a lot of in-the-moment takeaways tend to fade at the end of a multi-episodes (sometimes multi-genre) listening session.
Succession s4 has just outdone all 3 prev seasons
Content curation is one of the most underrated life changing skills.
For the past few months, I’ve largely been been straying around South east Asia’s historical / business literature about conglomerate style multi-gen empire.
Re-curating my content consumption now back to bootstrapping & saas
A social media where you login and start typing into a box:
- no character limit
- no way to paste text
- no way to backspace
- you have to post it or it will be auto posted within 24h
- you can redact words within 24h but it is apparent to readers
- A delete option is possible… after 100 days
Pinterest remains the only website I can browse mindlessly without feeling fomo / jealous / left out / unrationally motivated (I should do this now!) - and just let the designer-in-me be tickled by all sorta visual wonders of the world.
It's basically a bunch of simple shapes and words, and links to corresponding @tailwindcss.com components
My go to UX design tool is Google Slide😆
And wow did we just get an upgrade?
Today is a good day.

This reminds me of the online version where more bloggers used to list other blogger friends in their website sidebar.
Good times.
