Today feels like two completely different realities, one where there's a successful ceasefire and another where there's bombing and explosions across the Middle East.
By extension the US is Russia. Again, in some particular ways (how incompetently this was done & in how we exhibited similar arrogance).

On the one hand, I think that it's not meant to be as broadly interpreted as how those offended by the post are interpreting it. It's about some aspects (Iran was attacked, as Ukraine was, & it responded with well planned asymmetric actions against an opponent much superior on paper as Ukraine did).
I remember hearing of these requests when I was teaching in the US. Grifters like Shapiro or Kirk were often rejected not because of controversy, but because they charged 100x what an academic would get for a speaking fee. Not booking them was not censorship, but simply budget.
