I can’t believe how often I read articles that treat softer growth in EV sales in a way that implies they are tanking, without the context of putting them up against ICE vehicle sales declines.

Electric Vehicle Sales Review Q2-2024 Strategy& and PwC Autofacts® have analyzed electric vehicle sales worldwide in the second quarter of 2024.

Any number of examples support this, but just one is that in Q2, in the top 5 European markets (FR, DE, IT, ES, UK), EV sales increased 11% YOY, whereas ICE sales fell by 2%. As a result, total electric vehicle market share has crept above the 50% mark.
