Day 1 of Ontario field work - beautiful snowy day to be working on MacDonald Lake in @haliburton_forest setting up the ice thickness sensor ๐โ๏ธ
It will track the ice thickness for us over the season to help compare to the weekly measurements the team will make
Last month, the mighty Shallow Water Ice Profiler, named Pablo, was briefly ashore for a download and redeployment, but is now back safe and sound in the depths of Small Lake, ready for another season of hard work tracking the ice cover for us.

Itchy muskox got at these two!
Earlier this summer we a great, but chilly, day for servicing the High Arctic Lake Ice Observation Network (HALO). Cameras reset for the year to track the snow and ice.
(And hopefully not provide any more muskox entertainment)!
