My fave: The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle. Loved it. Loved all the characters & am still routing for them (hoping for a sequel!)
Least favourite: In Five Years, I don't think any best friend would actually behave like that & really didn't enjoy it.
If you have any must reads please let me know
I'm currently listening to The Secret Life of Albert Entwhistle by Matt Cain and LOVING it. I have cried with Albert, cringed with him and am now cheering him on - you can do it Albert! Highly recommend π

Spent my Saturday at Palace Ponies mucking out Magic with my son β¨β€οΈ
Palace Ponies are trying hard to generate income to remain open, so worth looking into if you are wanting a starter riding lesson for 5 to 10 year olds π΄ They are based in L8 6QR
#riding #charity #innercityridingschool
And some older - I bought it for my 16 year old son who enjoyed it and recommended it to my husband and he loved it too!
Love love love an audiobook - would recommend getting Libby (or whatever your library uses) as then you can have free library audiobooks straight to your phone. My favourite is Fern Brady's Strong Female Character, which she reads herself so feels like she is telling you her life story herself.
Who knew Spotify was so specific? One more hour to go to until I can finish Weyward - I'm on a cliffhanger!!!

At the Palm House we are currently working with an Educational Consultant to develop our learning offer.
We will be having a Home Education Welcome Session on 21st May & would be delighted if families could join us.
If you are able to attend please RSVP by 19th May.
Many thanks π
Agreed, I tried to help my son with a maths GCSE question. I approached full of confidence announcing proudly "of course I can help I did maths A Level", I quickly realised his GCSE work is harder than what I did for A Level in 1997!
This is such a simplistic view. Understanding why the child is missing school will give a plethora of reasons why grades may be lower.
Congratulations to all the winners at the Liverpool Tourism Awards, from all of the Palm House team.
What a wonderful celebration of our amazing city. It always makes me incredibly proud of my home city and the people in it.

This statue was lent to Liverpool Women's Hospital over 20 years ago and today it came back home to the Palm House.
2 very special places to me π
My grandad was the eldest followed by 3 girls. My grandad & the youngest remained in Liverpool, the middle two children were sent to Australia as Barnardos orphans. We hoped they at least had each other, but they only met once.Today my dad met his cousin.

I am from Liverpool, but spent 2 years in Japan teaching and was placed in a tiny village that randomly had an annual John Lennon concert π€£ What are the chances π€£

Being in the top 4% makes me think not many people might know that you can listen to audiobooks on Spotify as I've hardly used it - so sharing in case useful to anyone π #Booksky #audiobooks #books
My favourite wedding advice saying is
"Marriage is falling in love many times, but always with the same person" π
Today is our 17 year anniversary. I'm grateful we have continuously fell back in love with each other. I couldn't go through life with anyone else πππ
Absolutely, he needed a home and I thought we were doing him a good deed - it turned out we needed him much more than he needed us π
π thank you for your reply, I have read and enjoyed that one very much π (couldn't fit on enough in characters allowed!)
