Maple Pecan Pies
Beat 25g soft butter with 175g soft light brown sugar. Beat in 3 large eggs 1teasp vanilla and 200ml maple syrup. Taking care not to overfill, pour mixture over a 9 inch prebaked pie shell set on a baking sheet filled with 150g pecans and bake at 180°c for 30 - 35 minutes.
Prepping for Thanksgiving and tweaking a pecan pie recipe - this one's a maple pecan and I don't know if my granny would approve but it is gloriously smoky-sweet rather than just teethachingly so!

Second day of recording the audio for my novel All the Places that Were Hurt. I have no idea yet whether the final cut will be fit for release but that will be on me as my beloved had a previous life as a producer/recording engineer so technically, it's brilliant! Wish me luck!

Hello Sarah, I saw wonderful Judi Dench in conversation at The Bristol Hippodrome a couple of weeks ago promoting this new book and she was so wonderful. Funny, moving, playful, and when she quoted Shakespeare there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Enjoy your book!

While they're roasting, sautée some diced onion until soft, add some warming garlic, chopped fresh ginger, turmeric and chilli flakes. Scoop in your roasted goodies, top up with stock, simmer then throw in a handful of shredded greens at the end. Served with your gorgeous sourdough, supper heaven 🥰
