Yunus was featured in our Feb 2023 investigation when he had collaborated with the EODE—which had previously organized the team of observers for the 2014 referendums in UKR—to hold a “referendum” in Detroit with the goal of seceding from the US and forming an independent “Republic of Detroit.”
Via a website he operates, Yunus claimed this new partnership allows Wagner and Russia a “legal way to interfere in the United States” and that it puts "Russia back on the ground within enemy territory with the ability to lawfully use violence if necessary.”
When contacted by Logically, Yunus provided a letter from the Deputy of the Russian Duma thanking him for his efforts to establish partnerships between Russia and African nations.
In our latest investigation for Logically, US man Ramzu Yunus allegedly partnered with members of PMC Wagner and travelled to Russia, where he also allegedly met with Russian officials to secure funding to support US-based independence movements. Report by
