Merry Christmas, Mary. I'm just putting the last presents under the tree myself.
Hope you have a wonderful day. Wishing you all the best for 2025.

We could go on about how we welcome publishers, we don't demote links, we encourage independent developers to build apps and extensions on top of Bluesky's network.... but instead, we'll show you.
All thanks to the incredible community here! π¦

I am currently writing a chapter for a new leadership book commissioned by the PTI. Joining @bsky.app has cemented my conviction that as teachers we become agents of change when we are inspired to learn from one another. My writing is fuelled by a vision of hope. Hurrah!
Just seen a headline in one of the papers, saying Boris Johnson is about to publish his memoirs. A good time to remember this superb letter written during the pandemic.
I believe it's checking for understanding, providing one is checking with all students, not simply relying on a few hands up with correct responses (as I've observed occasionally). Misconceptions can be dealt with, and teaching can be adapted immediately and for future lessons.
What's more important to get right:
π΅ The explanation of a new concept
π΅ The checking for understanding that happens afterwards

Congratulations, Erin; what a fabulous achievement after what must have been a lot of hard work and dedication to studies. Wishing you all the best for your future.
Loving all the positivity and happiness that's evident in this place, by the way.
Pretty good. Except you're missing just the: eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread, etc. Other than that, you nailed it. Bravo!

The Immortal Games by Annaliese Avery. I introduced it to Yr8 curriculum last year. Students & teachers loved it equally. The 'community' element comes in when the competitors realise how much more powerful they are working together than alone.
Absolutely my pleasure. I'm so grateful to you.

Dear Matt, as always with your resources, this is simply fabulous. Thank you so much for your selfless sharing, which makes the work-life balance of so many teachers easier to manage. You are, quite simply, an awesome human. God bless you, sir.
A chart showing activity from various countries on Bluesky. The UK, in blue, is experiencing a huge spike.
Oh hello Britain π³
That blue line is activity in the UK spiking past all of the other countries on Bluesky right now.

My first post! Iβm bringing across the Dropbox should anyone like to use any resources in here! They need a bit of tweaking now but might act as a good starting point: www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/rize2...
Not sure if I've managed to join Team English on here yet as I've only had the app since yesterday. Please would you add me, too. Many thanks.
Andie, this is an awesome and incredibly generous share. Thank you.
