Can’t believe I didn’t snag a final pic of these; the Estus flasks turned out great, and the recipients were thrilled with the results! I’ll post a new run once I get Siliclay up and running

I built a new daily logic game called Syntax! 🧩
Think Wordle, but for deciphering the structure of a new language every day. No logins, totally free, and just a solid morning brain stretch.

I’m working on a load and drain table to automate the rote parts of slipcasting. end result will mean loading and unloading become the hardest parts parts of casting. No more pouring slip and timing manually!

Kiln is setup! Check out the unboxing vid here: youtu.be/0_iS1TXhcPc?...
The shed is done. I’ll post some more progress pics soon, but imagine a single man, toiling to build a workspace in the scant freetime he can find. This has been my life these 3 weeks hence. #dreams
Oof. Making progress on my potting shed, but it is an effort friends!
We all die.
Would you rather do what lights your fire, or what makes someone money?
My biggest fear is I’ll retire, too tired to make art. I have giant vessels and sculptures in me. I need to make them real.
What’s in you? What do you need to bring into reality?
(3/3)
No one will build your dreams for you. No one will hold your hand. You must make the reality you desire, with blood, sweat, and tears. Literally.
You will miss out on things. You will have regrets. Dreams take sacrifice.

As a boy, I loved to sing and play guitar.
I was told to choose what I love second best, so I’d always have music even if I hated my job. I chose software.
I’ve come to terms with that decision, and am now working to establish my ceramics business.
Don’t let your dreams die. (1/3)
You will never be able to experience everything. So, please, do poetical justice to your soul and simply experience yourself.

a rendered view of a mother mold for subsequent production molds using plaster. This will create a handle that can be fixed to a ceramic vessel
Been heads down, and I'm excited to share an update!
I realized handles should be cast separately, always. Clay doesn't like that empty space ;)
I'm working on a new vessel--Here's a render of the handle! It's a modified #cardiod using #bezier functions

Been awhile--I've been really struggling with this cup shape! So I'm taking a break and making some gnomes instead. Might reimagine the cup.

I used a wax resist on the glaze of this casting and got great results. I’m excited to try a red glaze instead! my cup mold needed more work so I decided to take the plunge on a large casting. It’s crazy thin—1/8th of an inch if that.

Reprinting the center mold with 2% draft. here’s hoping this is enough to overcome the vacuum!

I LOVE how this cannon came out—going to be making a lot more of these.
That’s marvelous, I love it. next goal is egg dripping over a gnome
Ideas—like plants—should be constantly growing, and if they’re viable be planted, given support, time, and opportunity.

You mean like the color out of space?
Had this yesterday. A couple gnomes didn’t come out like I thought—oh well!
I’m not comfortable with the amount of music from my youth currently being used to advertise laundry detergent and paper towels
Hey all, looking to share ceramics with more people, so if you could like/follow/reshare, it would really help #allinthistogether
This whale tile’s skin gives me mottled and weathered vibes. I love it! #tilemaking #ceramics
Always has been :p

Cross necklaces came out great.
Let me know if I should make more like this!
Pre-firing pics from the next kiln load
I am excited about the cross necklaces and the tiles. First go at these.
