A steam filled night street, with a movie marquee showing that Graveyard Shift is playing.
The required theater marquee for a New York setting.

Good looking movie with some great location shots of New York (even if most of it looks like it's shot in Italy).
The plot is brisk and decent enough with some unique elements to liven things up.
An Italian-dubbed David Hess was thoroughly weird, though.

It is from that set.

Another first-time viewing.

Very unusual drama... but that's what Larraz does, isn't it?

Two of my favorite things about Hong Kong movies- character melodrama and furious action.
The action is handled by Yuen Tak, Mang Hoi, and Corey Yuen.

From the playful opening to the blood-soaked ending, this one is pure entertainment!
David Chiang, helping the poor and cutting bad guys with his blades and goblin smile.
He's the best guy!

Y'all need to bond with your cat. Mine would be texting me all day and responding EVERY time I texted. In multiple texts. With a criminal number of emoji. ๐ผ

A sort of haunted house movie where a military plane is shot down in Asia, and the five men aboard find a mysterious house that doesn't want them to leave.
It's pretty great!

Oh yeah, that's good!
Meiko Kaji gets a lot of drama in this, a welcome change of pace from all the blood and vengeance.
I like how the middle section juggles various character plots.
There's an intense billiards match, and the spectacular action finale most people are craving.
๐ฝ
Poster for Wandering Ginza Butterfly. It shows Meiko Kaji with her serious look. There's a guy in a white suit and hat holding a blade. Ana an assortment of shady gangster types.

Yakuza crime film starring Meiko Kaji.
And I don't think I've seen it yet. Lucky me!
Picked up Arrow's disc with both films, and why no original poster art? I don't usually like the new art.

It's really something special
I have been watching the movies from that Backyard Bloodbaths disc and saving Black Mamba for last because I watch everything in disc order. But I have known about it for a bit.
Another 'why would you make it this way' treasure is Dinosaurs in a Mining Facility. Mind boggling and wonderful.

SOV horror weirdness about a guy obsessed with a serial killer's story of receiving a triangle mark from god, so he goes on his own spree in a neighborhood full of killers that may only exist at night.

If you can adjust to all the sound problems (subtitles help), this is an interesting and chaotic comedy involving an aging actress and an off-off-Broadway theater troupe.
The two plots are a bit unfocused since Milligan didn't complete it.
Has rare interior footage of Caffe Cino.

I have no idea what this one is all about.
I do know he shot 73 minutes but never completed it. Presumably, he hated it, but didn't he say that about a lot of his movies?
