So rather than lament the sudden, simultaneous failure of morality on the part of millions of people, maybe we could take some time to figure out what motivates all this schadenfreude.

It's well and good to scold millions of people. That always works. But we've been going around and around for years on single payer vs private insurance with no real progress beyond Obamacare, which has given many people the opportunity to purchase a product they will not be allowed to use.

On the UHC thing, we may all agree that murder is wrong, but it's not like the assassin is only being celebrated by 4Chan edge lords, FB trolls and Alex Jones. It's not a fringe group of tiki torch carrying fascists or anarchists. It's a widespread, mainstream sentiment.

Murder existed long before World War II, therefore it's a mistake to call the Nazis murderous. They didn't invent murder!
