Went on a marathon "get shit done" quest this weekend. Psych visit, garden store, weed/trim beds, finish fixing tractor, scrub/clean deck, repair table, putty broken wood, clean...

100%. Been preaching that for decades. Bigger is NOT better. I've been to all the big ones, and waiting an hour for an elevator, walking a mile to convention space, and being packed shoulder to shoulder is a miserable nightmare for a lot of us. The fandom needs smaller cons where we can breathe.

I want to thank everyone from the bottom of My black Demon heart who offered encouragement. The furry gods must have heard Me, because the moment I set paw in the con I was met w/ kindness & inclusion. I'm hacking My way thru con crud atm, but it's a small price for wonderful new friends & memories.

This weekend I'm heading to a con. I don't want to be the "creepy old guy" who no one wants to talk to.
