I don’t understand why “adult” is used as euphemism for sexy things, like “adult films” and “adult bookstore”, when 99.9% of actual adult things are boring at best and existentially terrifying at worst.

When the Trump administration defended the murders carried out by ICE last month, it effectively told agents that they operate above the law. What happened to Ellie Aghayeva this morning is not rogue but the agency working as designed—and we should all be outraged and call for ICE’s abolishment.
