posting about anaïs mitchell like she's my kpop bias, adding SAW BONNY LIGHT HORSEMAN 1x, SAW HADESTOWN 2x to my screen name
my finger pointing to Charles Payseur's review of my poem in Locus
i can feel it this story is going to be a nice safe publishable length it's happening this time *one novelette later* no no no no,
well i won't say the Single Thing. i think it is the Primary Thing
keen eyed viewers will notice i'm not using a broad nib to do that lettering and am instead using a flexible nib in a way that's both bad for the nib and unnecessarily laborious. that's cause it's what i have on hand and perfectionism is The Single thing that stops me from creating as much as i want
cover of my zine. it says "se addams hiwscipe - fragments from the sonnenfeld MS, circa 1991." it features the cover of a medieval hymnal (i think?) on which i have replaced mary and jesus with morticia and wednesday
on the right, a drawing of Gomez Addams in my approximation of a medieval art style, with Thing next to him, looking like a manicule. on the left, the text reads "Scēawa hīe. For hiere ic wille sweltan. For hiere ic wille cwellan. Bām tha wegum bēon bliss." Because I am unsure how a screen reader will interpret those sounds, and it may be difficult to look the words up without seeing them, I will add that this is, to the best of my ability, an Old English translation of the words "Look at her. I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss."
finished a zine for the first time in a long time - this isn't the addams family zine i teased before but it IS an addams family zine. and the other one is still happening. eventually. calling this $3? dm for my venmo or reply if my dms are accidentally closed again when u read this
i'm sick right now and this notification made my day/week/month/etc. wow!
“I opted for the praying mantis arms” by @carterhaugh.bsky.social (Summer ‘25) “really sells the voice of the narrator and their refusal to shape themself physically for anyone’s benefit but their own,” writes @cypayseur.bsky.social. “It’s fantastic.”
My coworkers took more strategic routes: Melissa’s new eyes’ inbuilt dimmer feature eliminates the need for sunglasses and cuts down strain from artificial light. The auto-zoom enhances tiny fonts when reading corporate emails late at night.
Choose your corporate upgrades wisely.

Here is a neurodivergence-informed guide to calling your political reps. Use it to demand that your reps oppose the Big "Beautiful" Bill that will take money away from vital services, to fund American secret police, billionaires, & privately owned prisons.

bathroom mirror selfie of me in a spiral sweater that i crocheted. i used green and brown yarn in various shades. as mentioned in the caption, there's an image of a ribbon seal covering part of my phone and hand.
new sweater COMPLETE AT LAST but my phone grip broke and it looks weird so i covered it with a ribbon seal
YES let's do it
TWs for these if they're helpful 4 u: first one deals with fatphobia and diet culture, second one includes an abusive relationship and arguably some body horror
cover of a zine showing a torn bit of a snack nutrition label in a decorative frame. the zine is titled "Price tag fragment, c. 21st century"
cover of a zine titled "Pulling a Gregory Berrycone." the subtitle is "Three Short Works of Fan Fiction for a Meme," with "a meme" crossed out and replaced with "an unpublished masterpiece." The subtitle is written inside the silhouette of a head with a knob on the back.
I'M ON A ROLL - TWO NEW ZINES PRINTED AT THE LIBRARY, EVERYBODY SAY THANK YOU LIBRARIES - bittersweet body positive zine / 3 very short weird stories based on the gregory berrycone post / name your price in my DMs, suggested price $1

Kishi Station in Wakayama has a cat stationmaster named Nitama (who I spotted taking a nap there today).
